Since Celine Dion announced her diagnosis, she has receded from the limelight. Her sister, Claudette Dion, has been providing fans with updates on what has been going on in the singer’s life.

“She’s doing everything to recover. She’s a strong woman,” Claudette said in an interview, She added that little is little known about the condition, even by the Dion family. Celine’s older sister also mentioned how the family can do little about the “pain” the singer is in.

74-year-old Claudette talked about the symptoms her sister is suffering from, she said, “There are spasms – they’re impossible to control. You know when people often jump up in the night because of a cramp in the leg or the calf? It’s a bit like that, but in all muscles.”

Dion revealed her diagnosis late last year in December 2022. She posted an emotional video on social media to tell her fans about her diagnosis of Stiff Person Syndrome and to announce that her tour was indefinitely postponed.

She said the condition was also affecting her vocal cords and hence, her ability to sing, which is why she had put a pin in her Courage world tour till she felt she was better enough to take the stage again.

The pop sensation has since then been working with “a great team of doctors” and also working with a sports-medicine therapist to regain her strength.

She is now living at home with her three sons, René-Charles, Eddy, and Nelson. She shared all three boys with her late husband, René Angelil, who died in January 2016 at age 73 years old.

In 2008, the couple purchased a five-acre plot of land. Two years later they began to build their dream home on the piece of land from scratch.

The home was inspired by the Bahamas, it had 13 bedrooms with 14 bathrooms. The home also had a lot of water features, which included two pools, slides, as well as lazy river.

How does she do it? The star adds that she also wears weighted bracelets and still uses the ThighMaster, popularized in the 1990s by the late Suzanne Somers. “It is sensational. I put that between my legs while I’m watching TV…It is the kind of thing you can throw in your suitcase because it doesn’t take up any space.”

Finding solace in mindfulness, the woman – a Tibetan Buddhist – successfully balances her preoccupations with family, a thriving career and aging with meditation and discipline. “Pleasure is the thing that lasts for a moment and happiness is the thing that lasts with some continuation, so if we’re not happy for several days, we start to notice.” She continues, “Are we doing these pleasurable things in any kind of excess, whatever those things might be for you? Everybody has their own vices, but if you’ve delved too deeply into your vices, you might need to shake yourself out a little.”

Whatever she’s doing, she’s doing it right.

In mid-2023, the star of Diabolique shared another sassy pin-up look, where she’s seen with her signature blonde bob and wearing the same bikini bottom, this time with the top.

Vorderman, the former presenter of Loose Women, is very candid with her personal life and earlier, she shared in an interview that her relationship with multiple men is a great setup as she doesn’t want to be in love.

Single since she split from journalist Des Kelly in 2007, Vorderman–married to Christopher Mather (1985 to 1986) and then to the dad of her two kids, Patrick King from (1990 to 2000)–said she appreciates the independence and freedom of being single.

“I don’t want to marry again. I don’t want to live with a man again. Have to look after him all the time. But this is a time to break this nonsense taboo, which is a person should only be looking for one other person who satisfies everything in their life. That’s hell.”

Saying that she’s not a jealous person, Vorderman explained her lovers are all single men, still looking for others, and that “there’s no harm being done. It’s a happy place to live.”
