A new mother needed help caring for her newborn when she returned to work. She asked her 64-year-old mother to babysit, but her mother demanded payment, leading to a conflict.

The mother explained her situation on Reddit, sharing that she had just given birth and needed assistance. She believed her mother, a homemaker since 1992, was the perfect candidate. However, her mother felt she was too old and had already raised her children, suggesting her daughter should consider staying home.

“I make $55k/yr, but have $39k in student loans + $20k in other debt,” the daughter shared. Her partner earned $36k/yr with $5k in credit card debt. Given their financial struggles, she couldn’t afford to stay home. Her mother, however, insisted on $20/hr, a car seat, a stroller, and compensation for travel.

The daughter found this unreasonable, stating, “I want to save money to bring down our debt.” She turned to Reddit for advice, but responses were harsh. Commenters felt she should have planned better and respected her mother’s right to refuse.

In the end, the daughter considered infant care as a more feasible option, realizing the situation strained her relationship with her mother.

Heather Unbehaun, accused of abducting her daughter from an Illinois suburb six years ago, has turned herself in, ending a high-profile case. Unbehaun is now in custody at the Kane County Adult Justice Center in Illinois, facing abduction charges without bail.

Days before her surrender, Kayla Unbehaun was found safe in North Carolina and reunited with her custodial father. Heather Unbehaun was arrested in North Carolina on a fugitive warrant from Illinois for kidnapping and child abduction. Initially held on a $250,000 bond, she was released after posting bail on Tuesday, according to Asheville Police Department spokesperson Samantha Booth.

Kayla was abducted on July 4, 2017, after a parade in South Elgin, Illinois. Heather told Kayla’s father, Ryan Iserka, they were going camping but never returned. A felony warrant was issued for Heather’s arrest.

The breakthrough came when someone in Asheville recognized Kayla from Netflix’s “Unsolved Mysteries” and alerted authorities.

Ryan Iserka thanked law enforcement and supporters for reuniting him with Kayla. Heather Unbehaun’s next court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday morning at the Kane County Judicial Center.

The idea was that the couple would tie the knot in 2000, but then Pierce’s 16-year-old son was involved in a traffic accident in the USA. As a result, he suffered a spinal injury, and his dad postponed the wedding ceremony.

But in the end, Pierce and Keely got their dream wedding in Ashford Castle – a stunning 13th-century Irish fortress. The newlyweds had invited 120 close friends and family to the fairytale hotel – but Pierce also paid for an intense security operation to keep the media and the public away.

The couple has two sons and shares a passion for nature, working to prevent whaling and the destruction of our oceans’ inhabitants.

He explained in an interview saying, “This is our wedding ring and this is a watch that Keely bought me many years ago with an inscription that [reads], ‘Time flies on love’s wings,’” He further added, “I decided to wear it for this character. It seemed appropriate.”

He explained that it was appropriate for his character as he had a wife too, which is why Brosnan decided to keep these personal items on during filming. He said,  “The man [has] traversed the ages of time. He’s one of the most powerful sorcerers in the DC comic book world. He did have a wife called Enza, and she was even more powerful than him I hear.”

His wife was obviously thrilled at the subtle yet sweet tribute her beloved husband gave to her in his latest film project. She said, “I love those emblems, that he took those with him into the superpower, superhero realm.”
