Jennifer Garner is embracing every precious year of life.
In this week’s issue of PEOPLE, the 51-year-old actress and longtime Neutrogena brand ambassadoradmits that even though she has her “moments” where she reflects on her younger years, “Honestly, mostly, I am grateful just to be alive.”
“And I’m grateful for the wisdom that I’ve gleaned out of these years and really grateful to be able to watch other women go through this process of life so gracefully,” Garner adds.
She also says she tries “to follow in their footsteps and tell other young women, ‘Take care of yourself, but don’t be scared. Aging is a gift.’ “

As for what her own personal self-care routine looks like, the 13 Going on 30 actress tells PEOPLE she works out “every day,” as “it’s super important for my mental health.”
“I eat really well. I just finished a big bowl of kale,” she continues. “And I have a really strong family and strong relationships in my life.”
The mother of three — who shares Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, with ex-husband Ben Affleck — says she also allows herself to “have down days.”
“I don’t try to be Pollyanna all the time,” Garner says. “And I’m gentle with myself.”

Though she prioritizes her own health, for her upcoming birthday next month, Garner is prioritizing “look(ing) outside of” herself.
“Every year I do something that I love to include people in that feeds me,” says the Once Upon a Farm co-founder. “Last year I went to a park in L.A. and planted trees with my kids. One year we loaded backpacks up to give kids food to take home with them after school.”
“I know what I’m going to do this year, and it’s coming together,” adds the Family Switch actress. “To me that day is about: How am I going to look outside of myself? How am I giving back to the world that gives me so much?”
A lot happened in 1972. Don McLean’s hit song “American Pie” was No. 1, Richard Nixon was president, his administration was trying to cover up its involvement in the Watergate Scandal, NASA’s Space Shuttle program was officially launched, and Bob Barker, the host of a new game show called the Price is Right, was giving away brand new cars that were then valued at less than $4000.
Synonymous with The Price is Right, Bob Barker is an entertainment icon, a cross-generational household name, who hosted the popular game show for 35 years.
Growing up on an Indian reservation in South Dakota, Barker–a member of the Sioux Tribe–met his future wife, Dorothy Jo Gideon at an Ella Fitzgerald concert. He married Gideon, his high school sweetheart in 1945, when he was on leave from the United States Navy Reserve, where during World War II, he trained as a fighter pilot. He never served on active duty but did return to university and graduated with an economics degree.
Barker, now 99, was hosting a radio show in Los Angeles when he captured the attention of Ralph Edwards, a game show producer who was looking for a new host of Truth or Consequences, the first game show to be broadcast on TV. Hosting the hugely popular show from 1956 to 1975, Barker’s popularity was rising, and in 1967, he started hosting Miss Universe and Miss USA pageants.
And then it happened. In 1972, he appeared on the stage of The Price is Right, which launched him and the show, into superstardom.
The Price is Right became the longest running game show in history, a title it still holds, and Barker, serving as executive producer in 1988, won 14 Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Game Show Host and four Emmys for his role as executive producer.

Speaking with the Television Academy Foundation in 2008, Barker credits his late wife for his successful career, saying “She gave me the confidence to even try to do what I set out to do. She didn’t just urge me on, she worked right at my side.”
In 1981, Gideon, 57, died of lung cancer, leaving her husband of 36 years behind.
“I never had any inclination to remarry. She was my wife.” Barker said.
He did however find another partner, Nancy Burnet, who has been with Barker now 40 years. According to Nancy, one of the key factors contributing to Barker’s good health is his limited use of medication over the years.
Right before his 99th birthday in December, Burnet, now 79, spoke with Fox News Digital and made a surprising statement, “He’s going to be 99, and he takes one prescription medication and that’s for his thyroid. And his health care or anyone who comes in to see him, they’ll say, ‘Well, we’d like a list of his medications.’ I’ll say, you know, let me just show you the bottle. That’s it. So, he does not take anything for blood pressure, cholesterol, the umpteen other things that most people take as they grow older,” said Burnet, joking about his one prescription:
“He’s in very good health for his age and his humor is still in good shape. He’s had a very charmed life.”
But it wasn’t always that way.
In 1999, after experiencing what he described as clumsiness in his hand, Barker had surgery to correct a partially blocked artery and to reduce the risk of stroke. In 2002, he had a stroke and months later had prostate surgery. A sun lover, he’s also had several cases of mild skin cancer, a series of falls requiring more hospital visits, and major back problems.
Burnet explains her intervention, helping Barker, a long-time vegetarian, gain strength with supplements. “It was not to replace meals but to enhance everything. To take that in addition to his meals because he was not doing well. He was looking tired and kind of frail, not just not looking healthy. And, you know, if you’re going to be a vegetarian and vegan, you better know what you’re doing.”
After retiring his position on the Price is Right, now hosted by comedian Drew Carey, he’s had a few guest appearances, including in 2013 on his 90th birthday.

Burnet said of his time on the show, “He never grew tired of it. I’m not sure I could do the same show every day. But he never grew bored with it. So maybe that’s why it was so successful because he was always ready to do it and happy to do it.”
A sentiment Barker also expressed on Good Morning America in 2007.
“I am really not ready to say goodbye to it. So, I think it’s a good time to say goodbye because I want to leave them wanting more.”
He left with some great memories, from Vanna White competing on Price is Right before she reached Wheel of Fortune fame, to women contestants losing their tops after jumping up and down in excitement.
But the greatest thing was that the show gave Barker a platform to bring awareness to the wellbeing of animals.
Barker is also known as an advocate for animal rights and his show-ending catch phrase, “This is Bob Barker reminding you to help control the pet population. Have your pets spayed or neutered.”
He credits his late wife, Gideon, as the inspiration behind his animal activism.
“She was ahead of her time,” Barker told Good Morning America. “She stopped wearing fur coats before anyone was stopping. She became a vegetarian before people were becoming vegetarian. And I gradually did the same thing with her.”
In fact, through his DJ&T Foundation (named after Gideon and his mom, Matilda or “Tilly,” both animal lovers) he’s donated millions, successfully establishing animal-rights curricula at law schools, including Harvard, Columbia and Northwestern.
“If young people are introduced to the terrible exploitation and mistreatment of animals in society, it will help influence them in anything they do,” Barker told the Associated Press in 2015. “When your education and encouragement fail, you have to have legislation.”
Burnet, whom he met at an animal adoption event he hosted in 1983, champions animal advocacy with Barker, also campaigning against animal entertainment.

In September 2019, Todd filed for divorce citing “incompatibility of temperament between the parties such that they find it impossible to live together as husband and wife” as his reasons.
Despite this, Sarah was not ready to give up on her marriage. She wanted to fight, and did everything to repair the cracks.
“We’re going through counseling now, so it’s not over, over,” Sarah told James Dobson in November 2019.
“Attorneys are getting rich off of us and I don’t like that whole system. It makes no sense to me.”

Sarah also had support from her children during this difficult time.
“My kids are cool because they don’t like it and that that helps me. It helps me. They’re not ones to say, “Oh, it takes two to tango.” No, they’re mad because they have been brought up with that teaching that you have made a covenant with God,” she said.
“My parents, they’ve been married for 58 years … everybody’s kind of traditional family sticks together through thick and thin because you made a vow to God that through thick and thin, good and bad, you’re going to make that choice to … jump whatever hurdles are in front of you and you’re going to make it.”
Divorce rumors and scandals had swirled around Sarah and Todd for years, but this time it was the real deal. Their divorce was finalized on March 23, 2020.

Since then, Sarah’s kept a low profile, and didn’t openly comment on her breakup. But in April 2022, she finally bared all regarding her new love and the pain of divorce.
Speaking with the New York Post, Sarah said that the shock and the scars from the split are still evident, as we can all imagine.

Today, the former spouses have minimal contact. Sometimes they talk, but it’s only because they share custody of Trig, their youngest son.
According to Sarah, her ex-husband now has a new partner who lives in New York City.
“He spends his time with his girlfriend whom he’s had for some time now …,” she said.
“She lives down in the lower 48, so he spends a lot of time down in the lower 48.”
Sarah has also found love again; she’s currently dating former New York Rangers star Ron Duguay. The couple were seen dining outdoors in January 2022, before confirming their romance one month later.

Duguay was a longtime friend of Palin’s, and they fell in love when Sarah asked him if he could show her New York City. In the interview with New York Post, she describes their relationship as “safe and comfortable.”

Thomas dismissed the comments, revealing that her husband has not had surgery. She added, ” But people think if you look well, you have to have had plastic surgery — and that’s not true. But even if you did want to — go ahead!”

Mindy Schneider, a television writer, revealed in her memoir, “Not a Happy Camper” that her mom, wanted her to have a nose job done by the same doctor who did Thomas’.

On December 30, 1961, Sean Hannity was born in New York City. His parents, Hugh and Lillian, were first-generation Irish immigrants. He grew up in the Long Island suburb of Franklin Square.
Hannity’s father worked as an officer in the family court system, and his mother as a corrections officer. As a youngster, he attended Catholic school – and in fact, he started his career in the media business very early. At 8, Sean Hannity pedaled around in Long Island as a newspaper delivery boy, and four years later, he started working on several restaurants.
First job in radio
The youngest child and only son of first-generation Irish immigrants Hugh and Lillian, Hannity grew up in Franklin Square, a Long Island suburb of New York. Both of Hannity’s parents worked in the justice system: Lillian as a corrections officer and court stenographer and Hugh as an officer in New York City’s family court system.
Hannity graduated from high school in Uniondale, New York, and continued to work at restaurants to save money for college. He first attended Adelphi University on Long Island before switching to both New York University and the University of California Santa Barbara. However, he never graduated from college.
The money had run out along the way, and Hannity turned to work in the construction industry.
“It was 20 years of my life I did really hard work,” he told the NY Post. “I never forget that I’ve done the real work in life and know how hard things really can be.”
After leaving college, Sean Hannity started his career in media. Today, there are very different opinions on him and his views, which is entirely normal when it comes to his job as a political commentator.
However, as he began his career in radio, Hannity became quite controversial after just a year.
Sean has had a fascination with radio since he was a young kid. He began hosting his first radio talk show in 1989 on the college radio station KCSB FM in Santa Barbara. However, they took him off the air a year later due to a controversial remark about a lesbian mother.
So instead of staying in California, Hannity moved to Alabama, where he was employed at the conservative AM station WVNN in Athens. Later, he worked at the radio station WGST in Atlanta.
But being a politically conservative radio commentator wasn’t the easiest thing. As a result, Hannity felt that he had some problems finding his voice.
“It develops over time. It’s not like a light goes on, and you find your own way of doing and saying things,” he told the NY Post, comparing his early days in the late 1980s to Howard Stern’s character’s foray into radio in the movie Private Parts. “You try to sound like a radio guy. And meanwhile, you sound like a dork novice trying to sound like a radio guy.”
Far from the big television deal he has today; Sean Hannity was still trying to find his way in the mid-1990s. Eventually, he left a radio station job in Huntsville, Alabama. A local newspaper’s editorial about his departure read: “Goodbye to the talk show host from hell.”
Hannity might have left Alabama without a radio gig, but more importantly, that’s where he met his future wife, Jill Rhodes.
Everyone didn’t love Hannity, but at the same time, plenty of people thought he was great.
“I’m surprised they didn’t fire me”
In October 1996, Fox News was founded and launched to millions of cable subscribers. Sean Hannity was one of the political commentators that got a job with the network.
As of now, we all know that Sean Hannity is still at Fox News. However, in the beginning, the host himself didn’t think he would last long.
“I’m surprised they didn’t fire me. I was God awful when I first started. I was terrible,” Hannity said, recalling his first review by Newsday’s Verne Gay. “He said, ‘Alan Colmes looks funereal, and Sean Hannity has a bad haircut and has no business being on TV.’”
Alongside the late Alan Colmes – who died in 2017 – Sean Hannity hosted Hannity & Colmes. As the network relocated to New York City, He also started working at the radio station WABC, hosting The Sean Hannity Show. The show was later broadcasted on more than 500 radio stations in the US, which turned Hannity into an extensive profile for Fox News.
Later on, Hannity hosted the Fox News show Hannity’s America, and as his former co-host Alan Colmes left in 2009, he resumed with the show Hannity.

A year later, Vanity Fair reported that Sean Hannity had started dating Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt. A source told the news outlet that the two had “been seeing each other very secretively for years.” People reported the same information.
“He’s very private because he’s very famous, and he’s very controversial,” an insider said, “but it’s been an open secret that they have been seeing each other.”
Both Earhardt and Hannity quickly denied the reports that the two were involved in a relationship.
