Dana Delany, the iconic star of China Beach and Desperate Housewives, has captivated audiences for decades.

But despite her success and fame, she’s never tied the knot – leaving fans curious about her unconventional choice…

Dana Delany partner

I first discovered the stunning Dana Delany through her role in the classic TV series China Beach

but it was her memorable performance as Josephine Marcus in the western film Tombstone that truly won me over.

Since then, I’ve been an ardent admirer.

It’s surprising to think that, despite her captivating presence and charm, no man has managed to capture Dana Delany’s heart in a lasting way. At 68, she still looks gorgeous – yet she remains single.

What we know is that Dana Delany has never been married or had children. The New York-born actress, renowned for her kind and respectful demeanor towards fans, has occasionally opened up about her love life.

In a 2006 interview, she shared her thoughts on romance and relationships, revealing that she was looking for a man.

”I turned 50 and I’m ready to get married… I don’t know who he is yet but I’m ready… He has to be smart, funny and kind,” she said.

Ex-boyfriends

But it’s not as if Dana Delany has been without love in her life. In fact, she has dated and had relationships with several famous actors

Treat Williams and Henry Czerny, both well-known actors, have each been part of Dana Delany’s romantic history.

But no relationship has worked out in the long run — at least not yet. Perhaps the reason lies in the type of men Dana Delany has been drawn to. The actress has almost always been attracted to younger men.

“I’ve been dating younger men since my 20s,” the actress told TV Watch.

For example, the Tombstone star dated a wine connoisseur who was 11 years younger and a writer who was 14 years her junior. Her preference for younger men has certainly added an interesting twist to her love life.

“I can’t go any younger than that!” she says. “That’s my limit. But younger men are just more fun. I like their energy. I’ve always been kind of young for my age.”

Dana Delany children

In a 1994 interview, the then 38-year-old Dana Delany was asked if she was worried about her biological clock ticking faster. Watching her friends start families and have children can be stressful for anyone in their mid-thirties. She admitted that she did want children in the future, but at the time, she was with 29-year-old Darius Anderson, a political consultant, so both marriage and children were put on hold.

Delany’s parents divorced when she was 17, which may have contributed to her hesitation to rush into marriage.

”I wasn’t shocked. I wondered what took them so long,” she told The Vicksburg Post.

Dana Delany’s parents’ divorce led her to appreciate the independence and freedom of being single.

“It definitely changed me, it changed my perspective on things. It made me feel like marriage wasn’t that important,” she says. “It took the pressure off.”

”I never lived with anyone. I like it that way. Because I saw my mother have to repress herself in such a conventional home that the minute I was in my 20s, and I realized I could dod what I wanted and leave clothes on the floor and not make my bed and go to sleep in the middle of the afternoon if I felt like it… I just felt such a sense of freedom. I don’t think I ever want to lose that”.

Dana Delany husband

As Dana grew older, she realized just how unconventional her path has been.

Despite her success in the spotlight, Delany once doubted whether she was too ordinary to pursue an acting career. She used to think she was too ordinary to be an actress and never liked being in the spotlight.

”I am never recognized, which I take as a compliment. I have a love-hate thing with publicity,” she says.

Even though Dana’s life is far from conventional, she remains open to finding true love. She’s definitely open to the idea of marriage, just like many others who are seeking meaningful connections later in life.

”Marriage has never been a big deal for me… But I think I’m ready now… I got to have all the fun in the world, to experience a lot of people and figure out what I really like,” she told TV Watch.

Dana Delany lesbian rumors

As of now, Dana Delany is single, and there are no reports of a current relationship.

Over the years, Dana Delany has faced various rumors. One common question she’s faced is whether people assume she’s a lesbian simply because she hasn’t married. It’s unfortunate that such assumptions persist, but Dana has addressed these speculations head-on.

”Oh, I hear that rumor all the time — that I’m secretly a lesbian. Honestly, if I were a lesbian, you’d know it. It’s not like I’m one to hide things about my life,” she told Brandon Voss.

View on the Vietnam war

Many still associate Dana Delany with her iconic role as Colleen McMurphy, the Army nurse in Vietnam.

“The part was originally written [as a] Midwestern girl and she had blonde hair – I think ‘the color of wheat’ was the description of it, because she was from Kansas — and I didn’t look like that,” says Dana.

To countless fans of China Beach, McMurphy embodied the spirit of that era and the complexities of the Vietnam conflict. During the Vietnam war, Dana saw her father undergo a transformation. Once a proud Nixon supporter, the Watergate scandal changed her dad.

”He really had believed in this guy, and to see his belief system in America shattered, his marriage shattered… It just seemed that there were no sure things, in my family and in the world,” the Emmy-winning star told The Vicksburg Post.

Dana Delany went the extra mile to immerse herself in the world of China Beach. She traveled to Vietnam to better understand the environment and its people, gaining insight into Vietnamese pride and identity. The series made a conscious effort to cast Vietnamese actors rather than resorting to generic portrayals. Dana’s own understanding of the war, mostly shaped by TV coverage, was initially quite limited.

“When I got the job, I felt, ‘I have no right to play this part, because I don’t have any connection to it,’” Dana told The Daily Spectrum in 1991.

Coming from a middle-class background with few personal connections to those sent to Vietnam, playing a nurse in China Beach presented a significant challenge for her at first. However, her dedication to authentic representation and her commitment to the role made a powerful impact on the series and its viewers.

“I thought it was really smart to do it from the perspective of women. It was sort of a different way in,” says Dana.

Dana’s own life also became increasingly political during these years. She joined the Hollywood Women’s Political Committee and extended her involvement beyond politics. She served on the board of the Scleroderma Research Foundation and, alongside her friend Sharon Monsky, worked to raise awareness and support for finding a cure for scleroderma, an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation and fibrosis (thickening) in the skin and other areas of the body.

Additionally, she collaborated with director Bob Saget on the TV movie For Hope (1996), which was inspired by Saget’s sister Gay, who had died from the disease.

One step away from anorexia

Ask many men who grew up in the late ’80s who they’d choose to be stranded with on a desert island, and Dana Delany is often the top answer.

Known for her iconic role in China Beach, Dana wasn’t a classic sex symbol but rather exuded a girl-next-door charm that won over many hearts. Today, she continues to captivate with her timeless elegance and grace.

Dana strives to stay in the best shape possible and prefers a healthy diet, including vegetables, tofu, fish, and gluten-free pasta and bread. However, there was a time in her life when her perception of her own body became poisonous.

”I binged,” she told Prevention magazine. ”I starved. I was one step away from anorexia – a piece of toast and an apple would be all I’d eat in a day.”

Today, she has a much healthier attitude toward her physique and body.

”I do my yoga every day, for over 30 years. If I can’t do it one day, I really feel the difference. If I know I’m shooting the next day, I don’t have wine the night before. That’s depleting. I’m so lucky I come from a family of good sleepers. I love eight hours. I can go more.”

Botox gone wrong

Looking at Dana Delany today, it’s hard to believe she’s 68 years old. She remains incredibly beautiful and has aged gracefully. However, she did opt for a touch of cosmetic enhancement to maintain her youthful appearance — just once, and never again.

This decision was prompted by an unfortunate incident in 2003 when she tried a Botox injection in her forehead. Sadly, the needle damaged a nerve, affecting the muscle function in her right eye and causing it to droop slightly.

“I notice it more than anybody else, but I was symmetrical before and now I am not,” Dana told The New York Daily News.

Dana Delany revealed in an interview with Prevention magazine that she had never even heard about Botox. Her dermatologist suggested she give it a try. Sadly, her nerve in her forehead has been dead ever since. After that, the China Beach actress vowed never to undergo plastic surgery again.

Dana Delany today

Today, the iconic actress remains actively involved in acting, taking on roles in various television and film projects. She continues to have a busy schedule, with her most recent and frequent work including roles in Mayans MC and Tulsa King.

When she’s not acting, Dana Delany loves to travel and explore art. She loves traveling to Europe and has explored much of Southeast Asia. Paris is her favorite city.

“Art is kind of my side passion as an appreciator,” she said. “I travel all over the world to look at art. It’s what I do for fun, so I do know a lot of artists”.

Dana also thinks it’s important to enjoy life to the fullest.

“I’m just learning to appreciate life and not worry about stuff,” Dana told Closer. “Just relax, enjoy yourself. My favorite thing is to get home at night, pour a glass of wine and watch TCM.”

In a bold display of self-confidence, Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry took to Instagram to share a glimpse into her unapologetic lifestyle.

Berry, known for doing things her way, recently treated her followers to a carefree snapshot of her Saturday afternoon.

The actress, perched on her Malibu balcony, raised eyebrows as she enjoyed a glass of wine in the nude

strategically concealing herself with a well-placed arm and cleverly positioned surroundings.

The artful photo captured Berry’s relaxed mood in the California sun, her dark, shoulder-length hair styled in loose waves with blunt bangs, and a minimalist approach to makeup. Her caption, “I do what I wanna do. Happy Saturday,” encapsulated the actress’s free-spirited attitude.

While Berry has always been a fan of bikini pics, her recent posts have taken a more daring turn. Last month, she shared two steamy mirror selfies, offering a glimpse into her post-shower or bath routine. Smiling confidently, arms crossed over her chest, adorned with stacks of silver rings, Berry celebrated “hump day self-love” in the accompanying caption.

In a recent interview with BAZAAR.com, Berry delved into her love for wine, dubbing it her “guilty pleasure” and shedding light on its role in her wellness routine. The actress emphasized her preference for red wine, citing its perceived health benefits, including lower sugar content and fewer sulfates. Berry, who prioritizes heart health and is mindful of her family history of heart disease, acknowledged the advice of her cardiologist.

“Probably my guilty pleasure is wine—always red,” confessed Berry. “I think red wine for me is the healthiest that you can drink since it’s usually low in sugar and has fewer sulfates. If you’re sipping wine with heart health in mind, like I do, indulging in a daily glass of red wine can be beneficial. Considering the prevalence of heart disease in my family, my cardiologist consistently emphasizes this practice. My go-to choice is wines from Dry Farms, known for providing healthier and more natural options. These wines are crafted to be low in alcohol, sugar, and sulfates, enabling me to enjoy them on a regular basis.”

Berry’s openness about her lifestyle choices, body positivity, and commitment to overall well-being resonates with her audience. Her Instagram serves as a platform where she breaks away from conventional norms, encouraging self-love, authenticity, and a celebration of personal choices. Following recent divorces, Hollywood stars Kevin Costner, 68, and Reese Witherspoon, 47, are said to be exploring a romantic connection.

Costner, currently entangled in a messy divorce from his second wife, Christine Baumgartner, has exchanged accusations with her, alleging she used “stalling tactics” in their contentious divorce battle.

Baumgartner, in turn, claimed she misunderstood their prenuptial agreement, but Costner’s legal team dismissed this as “gamesmanship of the worst sort.”

According to an insider from New Idea, Costner and Witherspoon, initially engaged in discussions about potential projects, discovered a surprising chemistry that evolved into regular calls and texts.

While still collaborating on finding the perfect script, their interactions have become almost a daily occurrence. Described as “extremely compatible,” friends also see potential for a deeper connection, especially considering both actors ended their most recent marriages earlier this year.

Costner’s divorce, marked by its messy nature, concluded in September after months of legal proceedings. Meanwhile, Witherspoon’s divorce from Jim Toth, her husband of nearly 12 years, was less dramatic, finalized in August.

As Costner and Witherspoon cautiously explore a potential romance, they are reportedly taking things slow, allowing the relationship to develop organically. They are cautious about public appearances but may become more relaxed once Costner completes his commitments to the upcoming 2024 Western thriller ‘Horizon.’ Despite speculation, it’s acknowledged that it’s still early days in their connection.

Beyond their romantic connection, both Costner and Witherspoon have had illustrious careers in the entertainment industry, with Costner known for iconic films like ‘The Bodyguard,’ and Witherspoon, an Oscar-winning actress, producer, and entrepreneur, acclaimed for works like ‘Legally Blonde’ and ‘Walk the Line.’

Helen Hunt, a celebrated actress, stands out for her graceful acceptance of the natural aging process in an industry often obsessed with eternal youth.

She embarked on her showbiz journey at the tender age of eleven, steadily progressing from child star to a distinguished 59-year-old actress. Her face now reflects the wisdom of her years, enhancing her intrinsic beauty.

Hunt’s early career included roles in various TV shows and films, with one of her breakthroughs coming in the 1970s in the TV series “The Swiss Family Robinson.” Her remarkable performances in the 1980s, such as in “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” “Project X,” and “Next of Kin,” catapulted her to stardom. In the 1990s, her role as Paul Reiser’s partner in “Mad About You” earned her accolades and several awards, with a few episodes directed by Hunt herself.

Beyond her acting career, Hunt made a mark in directing, TV shows like “This is Us,” “House of Lies,” and “Californication.” She is also known for her advocacy and humanitarian initiatives, particularly in promoting women’s rights and empowerment.

Despite a career spanning over 40 years, Hunt’s natural aging process has been met with public scrutiny, partly due to her celebrity status. Rumors of plastic surgery circulated after a 2019 car accident. Although she never confirmed these speculations, her appearance might have been achieved with skillful makeup instead of surgical procedures.

Hunt’s beauty secrets appear to involve a commitment to an active lifestyle, with no gym workouts or extreme diets. She enjoys activities like walking, running, surfing, and practicing yoga.

In an industry where women often face objectification, Hunt has spoken out against such practices, emphasizing the need for an inclusive and respectful work environment in Hollywood. Despite the challenges and public scrutiny, Helen Hunt remains a symbol of authenticity and resilience in an industry that doesn’t always embrace the natural aging process.

Following her role as Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City, Sarah Jessica Parker rose to fame. Parker had begun acting when she was just a teenager.

Today, the 56-year-old is happily married, has children, and has a very successful career. But what was it that made her life so inspiring and impressive?

Let’s find out how Sarah Jessica Parker got to where she is today.

Sarah Jessica Parker might be an uber-celebrity today, but when she grew up, having money to buy things wasn’t even an option.

On March 25, 1965, Sarah was born in Nelsonville, Ohio. She was the youngest of eight, and her parents divorced when she was young.

She was raised by her mother, Barbara, who soon after the divorce remarried a truck driver, Paul Forste. Her stepfather, however, was often out of work, and Barbara, who ran a nursing home, had to take care of the children herself. It was tough.

“The problem with talking about it is that people like to put a Dickensian twist on it as if I were an orphan,” she explained. “There were times when we didn’t have electricity because we didn’t pay the bill on time – we simply didn’t have the money that month – and sometimes we relied on the government for free lunches.”

“But my parents were very clever and industrious; culturally, our lives were very rich, even though, in practical ways, things were kind of a mess.”

Parker has no regrets and is grateful for her childhood since it gave her a strong work ethic.

“I’ve never borrowed a penny from anybody. I think it’s a real privilege to grow up the way I did, and I think my son’s strangely at a disadvantage because he’s a child of affluence, and he doesn’t know what that means,” she explained.

Sarah Jessica Parker wanted to help her mother support the family. From a young age, it was clear that she had a talent for performing, and she brought home paychecks by performing as both a dancer and singer.

At the age of eight, Parker got her first lead role in a production of The Little Match Girl.

In 1976, she was discovered and landed her first Broadway role in The Innocents.

Barbara moved to New Jersey to support Parker’s acting career as she became the family’s primary breadwinner.

Sarah was trained in both singing and ballet. She studied at the American Ballet School and the Professional Children’s School.

In 1979, Sarah Jessica Parker got her big breakthrough on Broadway, starring as the orphan in Annie. From there, Parker attended Dwight Morrow High School, and at the same time, she continued to star in several productions.

Sarah Jessica Parker pursued her acting career full-time when she graduated from high school. In 1982, she got her first big breakthrough on television when she starred in the sitcom Square Pegs. From there, Parker continued to star in several shows and films, and as the 1990s approached, she starred in more and more prominent films.

In 1991, she starred alongside Steve Martin in L.A. Story and the year after in Honeymoon in Vegas alongside Nicolas Cage. In 1994, Parker appeared in Tim Burton’s celebrated film Ed Wood.

After appearing in several other films, Sarah Jessica Parker got the part of a lifetime.

In 1998, the first episode of Sex and the City premiered, with Parker starring as Carrie Bradshaw. The show, which revolves around four friends in New York City, didn’t take long to prove itself as a cult classic.

Sex and the City aired for 98 episodes through 2004, and it turned Sarah Jessica Parker into an uber-celebrity. However, she nearly passed on the opportunity to star on the show.

“Darren Star reached out to me,” she recalled her agent telling her. “He’s written this pilot [“Sex and the City”] and tells me he wrote it with you in mind – you were in his head when he was writing it. I’m going to send it to you. I’ve read it. I think it’s really good. You should meet with him.”

“I said, ‘Really? I feel like I’ve got it all right now, I can do a play, then do a movie, then do a play, then do a movie,” she added. “There’s a lot of flexibility. What could be better? Do I really want to go back to making a television series when I’m maybe held hostage signing a long-term contract?’”

“I met with Darren, and there were a couple of concerns that I had – like I really wasn’t keen on doing nudity and language issues – but [agent] Kevin continued to say to me, ‘This is different. You have never done anything like this before. No one’s ever done a part like this. Do this.’”

Darren Star convinced Parker to do the show, which ended up being a critical decision in her career and later starred in the Sex and the City movie.

Sarah Jessica Parker is very wealthy and has a net worth of around $200 million.

“I want to be clear about what I’m about to say. Relative to the rest of the world, I’m extremely well paid. But I know that almost everybody who works in network television works much less than I do and makes much more. I own the show, so when it’s sold, there’s something in there for me. But I’ll never think I have money because I spent so many years without.

“I’ve been financially responsible for so many people for such a long time – my family – that it’s not enough to have money for myself. And it’s not about luxury. It’s about my mom’s house payments. And my father is about to be laid off on Monday,” she added.

In 1997, she married actor Matthew Broderick, and they have three children together.

The Parker family lives in New York City.

“I have a fantastic husband. Here’s the honeymoon part: I still think he’s the funniest, wittiest, most clever man I’ve ever known. He’s still the person who makes me laugh harder than anybody – and I still want him to laugh at me,” Sarah Jessica Parker told Oprah.

“A few times, I’ve said to him, ‘I’m not getting the big laughs from you today.’ It means something for him to laugh because he’s so bright. He’s from a world my mom held up as really desirable – that Philip Roth, super-literary world. His parents were very much a part of the intellectual art crowd. I think a lot about his career, and I worry about him. This guy’s got four movies coming out, and he’s about to go back in and save a Broadway show [at the time of the interview, he was returning to The Producers]. I think people need to know about that. Few people do what Matthew does.”

Sarah Jessica Parker has been praised for her appearance, especially her skin and glow.

However, whether she’s wearing makeup or not, she will always be a beauty icon.

“I’ve never thought a lot about [my attitude to beauty], to be honest,” she told Vogue. “It’s never been that I’m without vanity – because that would be total malarkey – but I sort of think that time moves along, you buy the things you like, you learn how to put your makeup on the way you feel comfortable, and that feels most like yourself.”

Photos of Raquel Welch’s final public sighting, six months before her death Wednesday at the age of 82, show the “Fantastic Voyage” actress getting a manicure in July 2022.

Welch was snapped heading into the Beverly Hills nails and waxing salon J&J Beauty Lounge, where she was spotted flipping through magazines and, at times, experiencing pain as an employee wearing pink glasses and a blue face mask buffed her fingernails before painting them a light color.

It was a rare sighting of Welch, who has maintained a lower profile in recent years following a prolific acting career.

In the photos, the 1960s sex symbol sports large gold hoop earrings, a white long-sleeve shirt, black pants, black open-toed sandals, and a straw fedora hat, which she took off for the manicure.

Actress Raquel Welch visited a Beverly Hills nail salon in July 2022, her final public sighting before dying Wednesday at the age of 82.

“The 82-year-old actress burst into Hollywood in her initial roles in [‘One Million Years B.C.’] and ‘Fantastic Voyage.’ Her career spanned over 50 years starring in over 30 films and 50 television series and appearances. The Golden Globe winner, in more recent years, was involved in a very successful line of wigs. Raquel leaves behind her two children, son Damon Welch and her daughter, Tahnee Welch.”

A cause of death has not been announced.

Welch appeared in “Bedazzled,” “Myra Breckinridge” and a memorable episode of “Seinfeld” — but it was her turn in “Fantastic Voyage” that launched her career.

The Chicago native won a Golden Globe for her role in the 1973 film “The Three Musketeers” — and she acted in several TV shows, including the ’90s sitcom “Spin City.”

She told The Post in 2013 that one of her favorite gigs was playing Abby Lassiter in the Michael J. Fox comedy.

“I was Richard Kind’s mother,” Welch recalled. “That was the joke. Like, This is your mother? What happened?’ Richard is a genius comedian. All I had to be was straightforward. But I did get to wear this gorgeous Oscar de la Renta outfit.”

Welch credited her work ethic for her success.

“I just have a lot of energy, and I knew I had to use it,” she noted to The Post. “I wanted to be in the performing arts. I didn’t think that reality was all that interesting.”

Welch added: “The real world was fraught with disappointment. I thought it would be so much more fun if you could be dancing and singing. The way that I thought of the movies was a completely different bag of beans than it is today. It was really kind of an art form removed from reality.”

Her final onscreen credits came in 2017. In later years, she launched a successful wig line.

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of our friend and legendary beauty, Raquel Welch. She worked with us at HairUWear for 25 years and has been more than just a business partner,” Michael Napolitano, president, and CEO of HairUWear, told The Post in a statement Thursday.

Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso’s relationship is a remarkable example of a strong and lasting bond in Hollywood. They first crossed paths in Miami in 2003, where Luciana was working as a bartender, and Damon was in town filming a movie. The connection between them was immediate, and by 2005, they were married in a private ceremony at New York’s City Hall.

Luciana, originally from Argentina, had a daughter named Alexia from a previous marriage, whom Damon lovingly accepted as his own. Together, they have welcomed three more daughters: Isabella, Gia, and Stella.

Despite Damon’s demanding career and public profile, they have successfully kept their family life private and grounded, often shielding their children from the public eye.

What distinguishes Matt and Luciana’s relationship is their down-to-earth approach to marriage and family life. Damon frequently praises his wife, attributing the strength and balance of their family to her.

In interviews, he has shared that their love is rooted in mutual respect, trust, and a shared commitment to preserving a sense of normalcy, even amidst the pressures of fame.

The couple is known for their preference for a low-key lifestyle, choosing to focus on family time away from the spotlight. They have lived in various locations around the world, including New York, Los Angeles, and Australia, always prioritizing their family unit.

Their love story demonstrates that true love can flourish even in the most challenging environments. Matt and Luciana remain one of Hollywood’s most respected couples, proving that with love, respect, and understanding, a marriage can endure both time and public attention.

Eminem, known for his sharp and provocative lyrics, has once again made headlines with his latest track.

This time, the rapper takes aim at Amber Heard, referencing the infamous ‘turd’ moment from her highly publicized trial with Johnny Depp.

In his new song, Eminem spares no punches, using his signature style to address the viral incident that captivated social media during the trial.

The ‘turd’ moment became a focal point during the legal battle between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp.

Depp alleged that Heard had defecated in their bed, a claim that sparked a flurry of memes and online discussions.

“My s**t is like taking Deborah Mathers at her word

Yeah, I’m that absurd, we had a spat, then afterwards

We squashed the beef like a hamburger patty, or should I say gigantic turd?

‘Cause I put that s**t to bed like Amber Heard at a Mattress Firm.”

Eminem, never one to shy away from controversial topics, uses this moment as a springboard for his lyrics.

While Eminem’s track is sure to draw attention, it also brings renewed focus to the turbulent relationship and legal battles between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp.

Both actors have previously faced intense public scrutiny, and this latest development only adds to the ongoing saga.
