The video of her first audition when she stood in front of Simon Cowell, shy and unassuming and then blew everyone away with her rendition of “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Misérables has been watched by millions.

She gained fame, as well as earned millions of dollars through album sales. However, her journey hasn’t all been sunshine and rosesand the singer’s love life has long been the subject of rumors and speculation.

So, did Susan Boyle ever marry? Does she have a partner? And where is she living now?

It’s quite natural to stop and look in the rearview mirror as you grow older – and Susan Boyle can certainly look back on a remarkable life.

In 2008, the unemployed charity worker lived alone with her cat, Pebbles, and wanted to see if she could make it in show business. After performing I Dreamed a Dream from Les Misérables in front of Simon Cowell and the rest of Britain’s Got Talent judges, the 47-year-old became a star overnight.

“I used to be a kind of spectator looking outward at the world. But now I’m part of that world and, though frightening, I’m going to embrace it,” Boyle said after her breakthrough.

In her first year as a superstar, she made $6.8 million.

Her success continued and after the release of her second studio album, she became the third artist to top the charts in the UK and the US twice in the same year.

Overnight this unassuming and shy then 47-year-old from Scotland became an international superstar and a millionaire.

Even though her career took her around the globe and made her a multi-millionaire, Susan Boyle has always remained honest, down-to-earth, and genuinely caring.

Unlike many other celebrities, she has never flashed her cash; the humble singer still lives in her childhood home in Blackburn, Scotland.

She purchased the modest house in 2010.

”It’s best to be grounded and with your roots. It keeps you grounded and prevents you from saying things maybe you shouldn’t say,” she told OK!.

Susan Boyle was born on April 1, 1961. Her parents – Patrick Boyle, a miner, WWII veteran, and singer, and Bridget, a shorthand typist – were both immigrants from County Donegal, Ireland. Boyle grew up as the youngest of four brothers and six sisters.

The family lived in a council house in West Lothian, Scotland. Still to this day, Susan lives in that house.

She could have done anything, gone anywhere, bought a mansion in Beverly Hills, but instead, she returned to her childhood home, a four-bedroom ex-council house in Blackburn, Scotland, bought it, and turned it into the home of her dreams.

In a tour of her newly decorated abode, which she’s called home for 60 years now, she reveals her stunning new piano room which is the first thing you see when you enter her home.

She joked about her piano room as she said she’d only just started having lessons.

“That’s a giggle for a start because I can’t even do scales,” she joked.

The newly renovated kitchen used to be small and sparse with a table in the center near the oven which she said made it hazardous, but the renovation gives her a lot more space and many updates. It even has a framed photo of Susan meeting Pope Francis.

Her living room is bright and homey and full of pictures of her family. Susan is the youngest child of 7 brothers and sisters so originally her house occupied 9 people. It must feel a lot roomier now.

As you move through the home, you see her career documented in various framed awards and accolades along with many cute animal ornaments, a testament to her gentle nature and down-to-earth personality.

Upstairs Susan shows us what used to be the room she once shared with her two sisters which then became hers after her sisters left home. She recalls the record player that used to sit in the corner and how she was a huge fan of The Osmonds.

Her father died in the 1990s by which time her brothers and sisters had all left home. Susan stayed at home and cared for her elderly mother until her death in 2007 so the household’s precious memories for the superstar.

“Some people seem surprised that I choose to stay in my family home. Why shouldn’t I? I feel Mum is still here and there are so many good memories … I’ve spent most of my life in this house and I won’t move now, because I feel it’s part of my new history,” she said.

Susan has always been open about the fact that she wants to meet the love of her life and find a long-term partner. That person will of course move into her house – because Susan is not leaving.

While SuBo is patiently waiting to meet ”Mr Right”, there is something else that has been bothering her for a while. Susan has always wanted to be a mother and have children of her own.

”I’ve never had any of my own, that’s my biggest regret, but I love kids. They’re good fun to be with,” she told The Sun.

As a 60-year-old woman, time is not exactly on her side. But Susan has opened up on perhaps adopting or becoming a foster parent for children who need a safe and loving home.

“I’ve a lovely house, why not share it?” she said.

Susan’s home reminds us all that despite her overnight stardom she’s still an everyday person who chooses to live the quiet life in the only home she’s ever known.

Amid recent speculations, it’s rumored that celebrity couple Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton may be expecting their first biological child together. This would be Gwen’s fourth child, and the news follows Blake’s heartfelt remarks about his deep bond with her three sons.

In a People interview last year, Blake spoke candidly about his role as a stepfather to Kingston, Apollo, and Zuma. Expressing the challenges and joys of step-parenting, he emphasized his constant availability and support for them.

Sources now suggest the couple is on the verge of a new parenthood chapter with the anticipation of a biological child. Reportedly, Gwen underwent months of in vitro fertilization (IVF) before deciding to conceive naturally. The couple initially explored IVF before their 2020 wedding, but the process took a toll on Gwen. After a temporary pause, they consulted a specialist in 2022, leading to Gwen’s apparent successful conception.

At 54, Gwen is said to be dedicated to well-being practices to enhance her fertility, including meditation and acupuncture. As fans await official confirmation, the prospect of Gwen and Blake expanding their family is generating excitement.

Halle Berry made a bold fashion statement at the premiere of her latest film, The Union, in Los Angeles on Monday night. The event, held at the iconic Egyptian Theatre, saw Berry commanding attention on the red carpet with a daring outfit that was both elegant and risqué.

Berry turned heads in a sheer black dress that left little to the imagination. The knee-length ensemble featured a plunging V-neckline and a fitted waist that accentuated her figure. The floral lace detailing and revealing design ensured all eyes were on her. Her choice of attire not only highlighted her confidence but also sparked conversation, making a significant impact on those in attendance. Paired with black pumps featuring leather straps and semi-sheer mesh, Berry’s look was a perfect blend of boldness and sophistication. She completed her ensemble with soft, beachy waves in her chin-length bob and warm, smoky eye makeup that enhanced her natural beauty. Her sun-kissed complexion was complemented by a nude glossy lip, soft pink blush, and a touch of gold highlighter.

Keeping her accessories minimal but elegant, Berry opted for diamond round earrings and stacked rings on her fingers. Her bright white pedicure added a final touch of chic to her appearance. While fans were in awe of her stunning looks, opinions on her revealing dress were mixed. Some admired her bold choice, with one fan praising, “She looks great in it.” Others, however, felt the dress was more suited for intimate settings, saying, “I love it as underwear, but not so much as a dress.” Age was another hot topic, with many marveling at how youthful Berry looked at 58. Fans were astonished, with comments like, “58???? What????” and “She looks out of this world .” Another impressed fan exclaimed, “The most beautiful 58-year-old I’ve ever seen.” However, not everyone appreciated the daring outfit. Some criticized her choice, with one comment reading, “Put on some clothes and have some class.” Another added, “She’s better than this,” and others questioned whether the dress was age-appropriate for the star.

Joining Berry at the premiere was actor Mark Wahlberg, who, at 53, showcased his own timeless style. Dressed in a white T-shirt, light blue zip-up jacket, and black pants, Wahlberg’s laid-back look was polished off with stylish white sneakers. A photograph of him with his supermodel wife and their children captured a perfect family moment on the red carpet. As Berry and Wahlberg posed together, their chemistry was undeniable, though some were quick to criticize Berry’s revealing outfit in contrast to Wahlberg’s more understated look. Despite the differing opinions on Berry’s dress, Wahlberg’s classic style balanced the night’s glamour and intrigue. The Union, which premieres on Netflix on August 16, stars Wahlberg as Mike McKenna, a Jersey construction worker who is recruited by U.S. intelligence for a high-stakes mission. The film promises to deliver an exciting mix of action and romance, with Berry and Wahlberg’s on-screen dynamic set to captivate audiences.

Dolly Parton has been there and done pretty much all there is to do in the music industry.

And yet… and yet the country music icon is still finding ways to challenge herself and broaden her scope of magnificence.

As per reports, fans the world over are reacting with joy over reports that Dolly is finally set to release her first-ever rock album! You may remember that the 77-year-old was inducted into the Hollywood Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year, one year on from having turned down the nomination as she felt she hadn’t “earned the right”.

Though Dolly eventually accepted her entry, it would appear she’s eager to ensure no one can say she doesn’t belong. Dolly previously promised to release a rock album to commemorate her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and we now have a release date!

If sources are to be believed, Parton was initially reluctant to be in the conversation for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Jolene singer was said to be of the opinion that since her career consists mostly of country music, others were perhaps more suited.

In the end, however, the people spoke, and voters decided that Dolly did belong there. In November 2022 she was inducted into the Hall of Fame, and immediately set about trying to ensure that her selection was justified.

Her new rock album is now one step closer to becoming a reality, with Dolly herself having confirmed it will be titled ‘Rockstar’ and is due to drop November 17.

As per reports, there are 30 tracks in total on the album, nine of which are original. The remaining 21 consist of collaborations with other artists and feature new versions of tracks made famous by said featuring artist. A new take on Every Breath You Take by Sting will be on the album, for example, as will Wrecking Ball by Dolly’s goddaughter, Miley Cyrus

Other distinguished guests set to appear on the album include Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, and Steven Tyler.

Reflecting on her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Dolly told The View earlier this year:

“I just didn’t feel like I had earned it but they explained to me why I was in it and all that so I said, ‘Well, if you insist on giving it to me, I’ll take it’.”

“But if I’m gonna be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I’m gonna have to do something to earn it.”

The full list of songs on the album is reportedly as follows:

‘Rockstar’ (special guest Richie Sambora)
‘World on Fire’
‘Every Breath You Take’ (feat. Sting)
‘Open Arms’ (feat. Steve Perry)

As per Billboard, Dolly said in a statement: “I am very honoured and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time, and to be able to sing all the iconic songs throughout the album was a joy beyond measure.

“I hope everybody enjoys the album as much as I’ve enjoyed putting it together!”

I’m so happy to see Dolly still making music and still enjoying her work even at 77!

Maggie Smith, the venerable British actress whose career on stage, film and television spanned more than 60 years, has died. She was 89.

Her sons, Chris Larkin and Toby Stephens, confirmed she had died in a statement to the Press Association.

Having appeared in more than 50 films, Smith was considered one of Britain’s best known actresses and was beloved by recent generations for her roles as Professor Minerva McGonagall in the “Harry Potter” films and the Dowager Countess of Grantham on television’s “Downton Abbey.”

In addition to winning two Academy Awards, Smith earned five BAFTA Awards, four Emmy Awards, three Golden Globes, five Screen Actors Guild Awards and a Tony Award. In 1990, she was appointed a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire.

Born in Ilford, Essex, Smith moved with her family to Oxford when she was 4 years old. Her father, a public health pathologist, worked at Oxford University. Smith attended Oxford High School until age 16 when she left to study acting at the Oxford Playhouse.

In 1952, she made her stage debut with the Oxford University Drama Society. A decade later, she was acting opposite Laurence Olivier and earning her first Oscar nomination for 1965’s “Othello.”

By 1979, she had won her first Oscar for “The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie.” Another followed in 1979 for “California Suite.”

Smith appeared in a variety of films throughout the 1980s and 1990s, including 1985’s “A Room with a View” and the 1993 comedy “Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit” with Whoopi Goldberg. But she became a worldwide star in the autumn of her career after starring in the “Harry Potter” film franchise, which ran from 2001 to 2011.

In 2010, she was cast as the witty Dowager Countess in “Downton Abbey,” earning her a slew of awards, including three Emmys and a Golden Globe.

Shania Twain is known for her bold looks and fearless fashion choices, so it was hardly a surprise that her outfit at Lytham Festival earlier this month caught the attention of the masses.

On July 4, Twain, now 58, took the stage for Lytham Festival in the UK, captivating the gathered audience and proving that she very much still has the panache and ability to entrance a crowd.

The Canadian singer-songwriter shared a six-image carousel to her Instagram account after her appearance, captioning the photos: “Okay, so you’re Ken? That DOES impress me much! 😂 For those who weren’t at my show last night – meet Ken! He’s [traveled] the world to see me play over the years and I got to return the [favor] by [traveling] to him to play in beautiful Lytham… he only needed to get the bus down to my gig this time! 🥰😂”

Julia Roberts

During her performance, Twain wore an orange puffer jacket and black cowboy hat combo. Yet it was her legs that drew attention, flaunted as they were beneath a set of black fishnet tights.

The country singer’s bold ensemble didn’t fail to evoke a response from fans online, many of whom were split as to whether or not Twain’s look was a hit.

“I think most women would ❤️ to look that good at 58. Shania is an incredibly talented performer and a stunning lady,” one fan wrote.

“We absolutely adore you❤️🙌 ” penned another.

A third wrote: “Looking amazing ❤️

And yet… and yet there were those who were slightly more critical of Shania’s wardrobe choices.

One person wrote on Instagram: “What’s happened to your legs. So thin?”

“No shape anymore, no curves, stick legs,” added a second.

A third critical fan wrote: “What is she wearing? Is that underwear? Pretty tasteless. Why the desperate need for attention? She never used to be like this before.”

A fourth told the singer only to: “Put some clothes on.”

Irrespective of what people online had to say, Twain’s appearance at Lytham Festival seems to have gone down a storm. One reported standout moment was her performance of her hit song That Don’t Impress Me Much, which currently boasts some 196 million streams online.

The 58-year-old closed out the night with Man! I Feel Like A Woman!, another of her most popular ballads.
