It truly is the end of an era. Legendary actor Robert Redford will be retiring after almost 60 years in the acting industry. All good things must end and Redford has now confirmed that he will be taking a break from the acing world.

Redford has graced the big screen in some evergreen roles including but not limited to movies such as The Sting and Out Of Africa, after his breakthrough role in the 1969 film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

E is also popular for running the independent Sundance movie festival where emerging directors can come out to show their prowess.

However, despite his popularity, Redford has managed to stay under the radar, with his life being kept fairly private.

The late Paul Newman, his friend, and partner on two separate movies said about him, “I have known the man for over 40 years and I don’t know him, not really.”

Redford, who is now 82 years old, said that he will be retiring after his latest product, The Old Man And The Gun. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, he said, “Never say never, but I pretty well concluded that this would be it for me in terms of acting, and [I’ll] move towards retirement after this ’cause I’ve been doing it since I was 21.”

He added: “I thought, ‘Well, that’s enough.’ And why not go out with something that’s very upbeat and positive?”

Interestingly, the role of Sundance, which shot Redford to stardom, almost went to Newman, while legendary actor Steve McQueen was invited to play the role of Butch Cassidy. When the director decided to perform a role swap, McQueen said he’d no longer be part of the movie and Newman urged the studio to hire Redford.

The pairing of Redford and Newman was a smashing success, s the two had some crazy on-screen chemistry. The both of them starred together in The Sting in 1973 as well.

Redford fell in love with and married Lola van Wagenen in 1957. A year later, he made his first appearance on a Broadway play and welcomed a son, Scott. Sadly, Scott died when he was just ten weeks old.

Robert once said, “We didn’t know anything about sudden infant death syndrome, so as a parent you blame yourself. It creates a scar that never completely heals.”

Their second son, James was born in 1962, although he was seven weeks premature. The also gave birth to two daughters, Amy, and Shauna, and David, another son.

In 1985, the couple got a divorce after 28 years.

Of his personal life, Redford once noted: “There have been so many hits on our family that no one knows about. I don’t want them to, for my family’s sake.’”

Also, concerning his divorce, he shared: “I never wanted to be one of those divorced showbusiness casualties. I wanted to prove a marriage could last. But I couldn’t.”

He eventually married his longtime partner, Sibylle Szaggars, in 2009.

Despite his immense talent in acting, Redford has only won an Academy Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2002. His other award was for directing Ordinary People in 1980.

Among the people who have commented on the coverage of Redford’s retirement by Daily Mail were people who thanked him for his years of excellent movie acting.

One person said, “Thank you Robert Redford for the enormous pleasure you have given us over the years. Have loved all your films and will enjoy watching them all over again. Enjoy your retirement… we will miss you!”

It was the most notorious celebrity mugshot of all time – Nick Nolte gazing into the camera with his hair flying wildly in all directions as he sported a vivid Hawaiian shirt after being booked for driving under the influence of GHB in 2002.

Back in the day, the Prince of Tides star quipped that he resembled ‘an asylum inmate out for a lark’ in the shot, snapped during a chaotic era of his life when he was taking the party drug every day.

Fast-forward 22 years, and the 83-year-old former action man till looks unnervingly similar to that notorious noughties image.

In photographs exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com, Nolte wears the same lost-in-thought expression beneath a furrowed brow and a wild unruly silver mane that spirals in all directions.

He even sported a similarly loose-fitting shirt – only this time it was solid lilac – with the cuffs unbuttoned and splayed wide.

He was photographed this time as he emerged from a flashy black Lincoln sports car in his leafy Malibu neighborhood.

The actor now lives a reclusive life out of the spotlight with fourth wife, actress Clytie Lane, as they raise a 16-year-old daughter together in the beachside California city.

He’s no stranger to his chaotic history though, as he detailed the arrest which led to his 2002 mugshot in his 2018 autobiography.

In a lesser-known incident 40 years earlier and before he found fame, he was busted for selling fake draft cards in 1961. He was fined $75,000 and sentenced to 75 years in prison, later suspended.

In that booking photo, he looks the epitome of conformity, wearing his hair short and a button-down shirt.

‘I’ve had two mug shots in my lifetime,’ Omaha-born Nolte said in 2018.

‘It’s hard to get those. And if you get them, you better make sure you examine the circumstances that you got them.

‘The best way to deal with the biggest mistakes in your life is to discuss them. With everybody, including God.’

Nolte described how he had taken GHB, short for Gamma Hydroxybutyrate, on September 11, 2002, before going to the gym and an Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meeting, the incident which led to his booking that year.

Once the Gangster Squad star got to the AA meeting, which was being held at a church near his home in Malibu, the effects kicked in and he felt he had to leave.

‘I was a mess and driving on the Pacific Coast Highway,’ he wrote in his memoir detailing the arrest, adding that he had been taking the drug every day for four years at the time.

‘I’m told six drivers called 911 to report a big sedan weaving on the wrong side of the road.’

Nolte was eventually arrested and taken to an area hospital for blood tests, where he agreed when an officer asked if he could snap a photo of the Nightwatch star.

His autobiography, Rebel: My Life Outside the Lines, traces the rise of the headstrong actor – literally, because he had a bizarre habit of head-butting parked cars.

He was a Midwestern boy, a natural jock, who found fame later in life when he traded in performing on the stage to movies.

Nolte previously linked his career to his chaotic personality, telling AP that acting ‘always appealed’ to him because it involved ‘risk taking’.

‘I mean when I’m standing backstage and that curtain is about to open I say, ‘Why would you do this to yourself? Are you really that much of an idiot to just expose yourself to a thousand people?” he said.

‘And then the curtain opens and, if it goes all right, you don’t remember opening night – there’s too much adrenaline. Actors are risk takers. And they’re taking the risks for their own sanity.’

The curtains haven’t yet closed on Nolte’s storied career, as he’s soon set to appear as a notorious murderer in the upcoming movie The Ploughmen, starring alongside Bill Murray and Owen Teague as law enforcement officers.

Directed by Ed Harris and based on a 2014 novel by Kim Zupan, the neo-noir crime thriller follows a strange friendship between a young deputy sheriff played by Teague and Nolte’s villain.

It is set to be filmed in the Montana wilderness this fall.

Nolte also recently guest-starred in an episode of Poker Face, the new whodunit series on Peacock starring Natasha Lyonne as an amateur detective who can always tell when someone is lying.

The Golkden Globe winner will also reunite with his co-star from The Deep, Jacqueline Bisset, 78, along with German actor Oliver Masucci, 54, in new PBS drama Shelter Me.

The plot follows an artificial intelligence research scientist who develops a remote monitoring system that exposes personal struggles, weaknesses and strengths during the isolation caused the Covid-19 pandemic.

Nolte was last seen brushing his shoulder-length hair away from his face as he went to visit a friend in Malibu in March this year.

He was also spotted wearing a bright yellow button-down shirt and green gingham patterned pants while on a casual grocery run the month before.

Nolte pushed around his purchases in a small cart before driving off and enjoying the rest of the day.

The outing came just months after the former action man addressed his on-set tensions with Julia Roberts during I Love Trouble, a film they shot nearly 30 years ago.

Nolte was reminded that Roberts blasted his alleged crude behavior as ‘disgusting’ back in the 90’s – and he revealed they never repaired their rift.

When asked whether he ever extended an olive branch he said: ‘No, I haven’t’, adding that the whole affair had been ‘buried’.

Nearly 29 years after Roberts’ ‘disgusting’ quote, Nolte maintained that there’s no feud between the two stars

Blame game: When elaborating about their reported row in 1993, Nolte took some responsibility: 'I mean, it was absurd what we went through. It was partly my fault and a little bit of hers. Julia got married at the beginning of that film and it was one of those things where I just approached it all wrong'

Their feud came while they were shooting the 1994 movie, in which they playrival newspaper reporters in Chicago.

Around halfway through production of the romantic-comedy crime film, Roberts publicly aired their tensions by calling Nolte ‘completely disgusting’ during a December 1993 interview with the New York Times.

‘From the moment I met him we sort of gave each other a hard time, and naturally we get on each other’s nerves,’ Roberts said.

‘[While he can be] completely charming and very nice, he’s also completely disgusting,’ she added.

‘He’s going to hate me for saying this, but he seems to go out of his way to repel people. He’s a kick.’

Nolte shot back at the Pretty Woman actress during an interview with the LA Times at the time saying: ‘It’s not nice to call someone “disgusting”.

‘But she’s not a nice person,’ he added. ‘Everyone knows that.’

Susan Boyle won the hearts of people worldwide when she appeared on “Britain’s Got Talent” more than a decade ago.

Her first audition, where she sang “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Misérables in front of Simon Cowell, was watched by millions and left everyone amazed.

Susan became famous and made millions from album sales, but her life hasn’t been perfect. There have been many rumors about her love life.

So, did Susan Boyle ever get married? Does she have a partner? And where does she live now?

As you get older, it’s natural to reflect on your life, and Susan Boyle certainly has a remarkable story to look back on.

In 2008, Susan was an unemployed charity worker living alone with her cat, Pebbles, when she decided to try her luck in show business. At 47, she sang “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Misérables for the “Britain’s Got Talent” judges, including Simon Cowell, and became an overnight sensation.

Her unexpected audition quickly made her famous worldwide, and her story still inspires many people today.

After her breakthrough, Susan said, “I used to be a kind of spectator looking outward at the world. But now I’m part of that world and, though frightening, I’m going to embrace it.”

In her first year of fame, she earned $6.8 million. Her success continued, and her second album made her the third artist to top the UK and US charts twice in the same year.

Despite her global success and millions of dollars, Susan Boyle has stayed humble and genuine. She has never flaunted her wealth and still lives in her childhood home in Blackburn, Scotland, which she bought in 2010.

Susan Boyle believes in staying grounded and connected to your roots. She told OK!, “It’s best to be grounded and with your roots. It keeps you grounded and prevents you from saying things maybe you shouldn’t say.”

Born on April 1, 1961, Susan is the youngest of ten children. Her parents, Patrick, a miner, WWII veteran, and singer, and Bridget, a shorthand typist, were immigrants from County Donegal, Ireland. They lived in a council house in West Lothian, Scotland. Susan still lives in that same house today.

Susan Boyle could have chosen a lavish lifestyle, moved anywhere, or bought a mansion in Beverly Hills. Instead, she decided to return to her childhood home in Blackburn, Scotland. She bought the four-bedroom house and turned it into the home of her dreams.

In a tour of her newly decorated home, which she has lived in for 60 years, Susan proudly shows off her new piano room. It’s the first thing you see when you enter. She humorously mentioned that she’s just started piano lessons and joked about not being able to play scales yet.

The kitchen, which used to be small and awkward with a table near the oven, has been updated and now offers much more space. It even features a framed photo of Susan meeting Pope Francis.

Her living room is bright and cozy, filled with family photos. Originally, the house was home to nine people, including Susan and her six siblings, so it must feel more spacious now.

As you move through the house, you see framed awards and accolades from her career, alongside cute animal ornaments reflecting her gentle nature.

Upstairs, Susan shows the room she shared with her two sisters and later had to herself. She reminisces about the record player she used to have and her love for The Osmonds.

Susan cared for her elderly mother at home until her mother passed away in 2007. Despite her fame, she feels a deep connection to the house and the memories it holds.

“Some people are surprised that I choose to stay in my family home. Why shouldn’t I? I feel Mum is still here, and there are so many good memories,” she said. “I’ve spent most of my life in this house, and I won’t move now because it’s part of my new history.”

Susan Boyle has always been open about her desire to find a long-term partner and meet the love of her life. She has made it clear that whoever that person is will be moving into her home, as Susan has no plans to leave.

While Susan is patiently waiting for “Mr. Right,” she has another wish that has been on her mind for some time. She has always wanted to be a mother and have children of her own.

Eminem gave his daughter Hailie Jade and her husband a $22M mansion for her 22nd birthday and regrets not doing so sooner

The lavish gifts of celebrities often capture public attention, and Eminem’s gesture toward his daughter, Hailie Jade, on her 22nd birthday was no exception. Eminem, the renowned rapper known for his lyrical prowess and occasional glimpses into his personal life, reportedly gifted his daughter a stunning $22 million mansion, sparking both admiration and speculation among fans and media alike. However, what truly stands out is not just the extravagant nature of the gift, but Eminem’s expressed regret for not doing so sooner.

The $22 million mansion serves as a tangible expression of Eminem’s success and his desire to provide his daughter with the best that life has to offer. Yet, the timing of such a lavish gift raises questions about the balance between indulgence and responsibility in parenting. While Eminem’s regret may stem from a desire to give his daughter the world, it also prompts reflection on the intangible gifts of time, attention, and guidance that are equally essential in nurturing a meaningful parent-child relationship.

The public nature of his gift invites scrutiny and speculation, inviting discussions about privilege, values, and the responsibilities that come with immense wealth. Eminem’s acknowledgment of his regret may serve as a reminder to prioritize meaningful connections and experiences over material possessions, even amid abundant resources.

“Keeps getting more stunning” 🔥😍 The Princess of Wales stunned fans with a refreshed look during her latest appearance! 💥🙈 Sporting lighter hair and fuller, glossier lips, Kate Middleton looked chic and radiant 🫣😮 See her subtle yet striking transformation in the article below ⬇️

Kate Middleton recently made some changes to her makeup, and a beauty expert broke down the details of her updated look. The Princess of Wales surprised royal fans when she shared a congratulatory message to Team Great Britain on the final day of the 2024 Olympics. However, it wasn’t just her appearance with Prince William that caught the public’s eye—Kate revealed a fresh new look.

The 42-year-old, currently undergoing chemotherapy, appeared glowing and full of life in the video. Celebrity makeup artist Joy Adenuga shared insights into the details of Kate’s style.

“In her message, the Princess of Wales showcases an effortless elegance, fitting perfectly with her role. Kate’s hair appears slightly lightened with sun-kissed highlights that soften her darker locks, adding warmth and brightness to her appearance,” Joy explained.

The beauty expert noted that Kate’s makeup was simple yet refined, with a natural base that showed off her clear skin. She wore soft, neutral eyeshadows with a bit of shimmer to highlight her eyes without overpowering them, and a light blush added a healthy glow to her cheeks.

“Her lips are in a muted pink shade, balancing the look while making her seem relaxed and approachable. Overall, the look is confident, understated, and effortlessly elegant—perfectly fitting for the occasion. This beauty look reflects her poise and grace, while staying true to her classic style,” Joy added.

Laura Kay, a makeup expert and founder of Laura Kay London, suggested that Kate probably used bronzer to define her cheekbones and jawline, giving her a youthful, sun-kissed look. Liquid highlighter may have been used to enhance her cheekbones. Kay also mentioned that Kate’s lips now have a glossier finish, adding fullness, which is a change from her earlier, more traditional pink tones that sometimes made her lips look thinner.

“Roseanne” star Roseanne Barr, 70, returned to Hollywood nearly five years after she was fired and “lost everything.”

She looks fantastic with long hair and makeup in a photo after flirting with Rihanna’s boyfriend, A$AP Rocky.

Barr revealed how TV daughter Sara Gilbert “destroyed” her life.

Roseanne Barr, the face of the hit show “Roseanne,” made a comeback. After a long time away from the spotlight, the actress has made her way back to Hollywood with a new comedy show titled, “Roseanne Barr: Cancel This!”

The actress also had some more excellent news after a new documentary on her long and intricate career was released. The return to show business comes after she made an insensitive comment about Valerie Jarrett, a presidential adviser back in 2018.

The comedy actress opened up after being canceled in 2018, saying she “lost everything.” The ordeal came just as her highly successful TV show was starting its reboot. After the comment, however, television executives decided the best course of action would be to cancel the reboot just as it started airing.

Barr also said it felt like a personal attack on her after her character was killed off.

But Barr refused to lie down. She opened up about the years after 2018, saying it was discouraging to be silenced wherever she went. She asked the studio executives for a chance to apologize and explain her actions, but they refused. She mentioned, “And they denied me the right to apologize.”

Luckily, Barr has gotten back up again and is being open about her experiences between 2018 and now. She has taken a step back from Twitter, investing in her Instagram presence instead. And fans have shown their support, saying, “You look fabulous Roseanne.”

Many users took to Barr’s comment section to show their support after the 70-year-old revealed her “makeup & long hair” look. One said, “You look absolutely AMAZING!!!!” In line with her new-found confidence, Barr sent A$AP Rocky a message, saying, “Call me when you get tired of Rihanna.”

Sara Gilbert, who played Barr’s on-screen daughter in “Roseanne,” also commented on the explosive Tweet.

Barr posed with her new hairdo and nails, smiling broadly in an Instagram post. She looked extremely happy to be back after the controversy, and Instagram users complimented her on the interview where the photo was taken.

ow Did Roseanne Barr Feel after She Was Canceled?

Losing her job and being vilified by many people who used to be her fans and co-workers took its toll on Barr. She mentioned that she felt utterly alone. She noted it seemed to her as if she was being attacked from all sides by people who were jealous of her and who wanted to see her fall.

Gilbert was a considerable driving force behind the show’s reboot, and she corresponded with Barr to ensure she wanted to be a part of it.

Barr also said it felt like a personal attack on her after her character was killed off. To her, it was a message saying they didn’t want her around anymore and a direct dismissal of the work she did over the years. She commented:

“I’m the only person who’s lost everything, whose life’s work was stolen, stolen by people who I thought loved me.”

Although she has survived being canceled, Barr mentioned it was a terrible time. She described it as a “witch-burning” and as “terrifying” times in her life, noting, “I would die many times.” Although she’s glad to be back, she surely won’t forget the ordeal anytime soon.

What Did Sara Gilbert Do before Barr’s Cancellation?

After Barr’s controversial comments, numerous prominent Hollywood figures took to social media to show their disdain for her words. Everyone from Shonda Rhimes to congressman John Lewis criticized her, accusing her of being insensitive and urging her to apologize for what she said. But one accusatory comment left a deeper mark than the rest.

Sara Gilbert, who played Barr’s on-screen daughter in “Roseanne,” also commented on the explosive Tweet. Gilbert was a considerable driving force behind the show’s reboot, and she corresponded with Barr to ensure she wanted to be a part of it.

After Barr’s Tweet, however, Gilbert took to Instagram to express that the showrunners and the rest of the staff didn’t share the views expressed in the Tweet. Gilbert called the Tweet “abhorrent,” and mentioned that the TV show does not reflect what was implied in the Tweet. Barr responded to Gilbert’s statement:

“She destroyed the show and my life with that tweet. She will never get enough until she consumes my liver with a fine Chianti.”

Although Barr credited Gilbert’s statement for a large part of her downfall, Gilbert replied that her intentions were never to harm the actress. Instead, she mentioned that the show’s ending was heartbreaking for her, and she will always think of Barr as family.

Actor Bruce Willis has been quite quiet since learning that he has aphasia, a disorder that impairs speech. His family has kept followers informed and has been transparent about his precise diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia.

Bruce Willis’s daughter Rumer Willis wrote on social media, “Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support, and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce’s original diagnosis.”

Shutterstock

In keeping with that, we thought it only fitting to provide you with an update on our cherished husband, father, and friend, now that we have a better knowledge of his circumstances. “After announcing Bruce’s aphasia diagnosis in the spring of 2022, his health has worsened, leading to the more precise diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia, or FTD.”

The actor’s family also stated that the physicians are doing everything within their ability to make things easier for him as his cognitive abilities continue to deteriorate.

To ensure that Willis, star of Die Hard, gets the greatest care possible, his wife Emma Heming is collaborating with a dementia specialist. Even though my grief can be paralysing at times, I’m learning to live with it. Grief, according to my step-daughter Scout Willis, is the purest and most profound kind of love. “I hope that brings you some solace as well,” she stated in 2022.

Emma recently learnt about Instagram’s newest feature, which allows you to find previously posted images and videos. Then, a year ago, she recalled Willis complimenting her. Heming said in the caption, “What’s this new Memory stuff on IG!? My biggest fan, oh my god. I’m smitten with him. Willis was heard in the video declaring that he is “crazy” with his wife’s skincare line, Cocobaba.

His coworkers noted that Willis was having difficulty memorising the lines before the family revealed his ailment. It was more like, ‘How do we not make Bruce look bad?’ than it was an irritation.

He would get a line from someone and not know what it meant. A crew member said of Willis, “He was just being puppeted,” making reference to the actor’s most recent movie, White Elephant. Kindly TAG your loved ones and friends in this story on Facebook.
