Remy has already made headlines for disclosing the details of his most agonizing tattoo—the inside of his buttocks—as well as his experience getting “vampire” teeth put in.

Leslie Uggams has had a fascinating career as an actress on the big screen and on the stage.

Probably best known for her role in the Deadpool series the Harlem-born singer and actress has had a successful career spanning seven decades.

But behind the scenes, her personal life could be the subject of a movie after she tied the knot with White Australian man Grahame Pratt in 1965 as their love affair throughout the ages has defied all the odds of interracial love…

Leslie was a talented singer and in 1953 when she was just 10 years old she made a record for MGM. Encouraged by her aunt singer Eloise Uggams she attended the Professional Children’s School of New York and prestigious New York music school Julliard.

But her musical career was only the start of her journey and by 1969 she had her own TV variety show “The Leslie Uggams Show”, the first network variety show to be hosted by a black person since “The Nat King Cole Show.”

But behind the scenes she had met and fallen in love with actor Grahame Pratt. After first meeting him at Professional Children’s School of New York, where they were both students, the couple then ran into each other while she was performing in Sydney during one of Leslie’s celebrity tours in Australia.

Leslie knew what the repercussions would be of dating a white man as she’d done so in her teens and her aunt had told her not to entertain the idea of a future with him.

“I remember the shock I got once when I was dating a white boy,” Leslie said in a 1967 interview with Ebony.

“He sent me a color picture of himself. I showed it to my aunt. He was a good looking boy with beautiful hair. I thought he was gorgeous. But my aunt took one look and started in to lecture me. ‘Well he’s alright, I suppose,’ she told me, ‘but only for dates, huh, honey? When you’re thinking of settling down for keeps you’ll make sure you marry a nice [Black] fella, won’t you?’”

After her chance meeting with Grahame Leslie said she kept seeing him.

“I found myself really falling for him, which was quite a thing for me to realize as I was only 21.”

When she left Australia it would be 12 months before she saw him again.

The two had fallen in love, despite Leslie’s reservations over her family’s reaction and what it would mean for the two of them as Grahame would have to move to the U.S. for Leslie’s career. They got engaged for 5 months and Grahame visited her in New York.

“Knowing my family’s ideas about mixed marriages I wanted to know, too, whether they would really accept Grahame and not just tolerate him,” she said.

In the early 1990s, the world fell in love with the adorable Mara Wilson, the child actor known for playing the precocious little girl in family classics like Mrs. Doubtfire and Miracle on 34^th Street.

The young star, who turned 37 on July 24, seemed poised for success but as she grew older, she stopped being “cute” and disappeared from the big screen.

“Hollywood was burned out on me,” she says, adding that “if you’re not cute anymore, if you’re not beautiful, then you are worthless.”

In 1993, five-year-old Mara Wilson stole the hearts of millions of fans when she starred as Robin Williams’ youngest child in Mrs. Doubtfire.

The California-born star had previously appeared in commercials when she received the invitation to star in one of the biggest-grossing comedies in Hollywood history.

“My parents were proud, but they kept me grounded. If I ever said something like, ‘I’m the greatest!’ my mother would remind me, ‘You’re just an actor. You’re just a kid,’” Wilson, now 37, said.

After her big screen debut, she won the role of Susan Walker – the same role played by Natalie Wood in 1947 – in 1994’s Miracle on 34th Street.

In an essay for the Guardian, Wilson writes of her audition, “I read my lines for the production team and told them I didn’t believe in Santa Claus.” Referencing the Oscar-winning actor who played her mom in Mrs. Doubtfire, she continues, “but I did believe in the tooth fairy and had named mine after Sally Field.”

‘Most unhappy’

Next, Wilson played the magical girl in 1996’s Matilda, starring alongside Danny DeVito and his real-life wife Rhea Perlman.

It was also the same year her mother, Suzie, lost her battle with breast cancer.

“I didn’t really know who I was…There was who I was before that, and who I was after that. She was like this omnipresent thing in my life,” Wilson says of the deep grief she experienced after losing her mother. She adds, “I found it kind of overwhelming. Most of the time, I just wanted to be a normal kid, especially after my mother died.”

The young girl was exhausted and when she was “very famous,” she says she “was the most unhappy.”

When she was 11, she begrudgingly played her last major role in the 2000 fantasy adventure film Thomas and the Magic Railroad. “The characters were too young. At 11, I had a visceral reaction to [the] script…Ugh, I thought. How cute,” she tells the Guardian.

‘Burned out’

But her exit from Hollywood wasn’t only her decision.

As a young teenager, the roles weren’t coming in for Wilson, who was going through puberty and outgrowing the “cute.”

She was “just another weird, nerdy, loud girl with bad teeth and bad hair, whose bra strap was always showing.”

“At 13, no one had called me cute or mentioned the way I looked in years, at least not in a positive way,” she says.
Wilson was forced to deal with the pressures of fame and the challenges of transitioning to adulthood in the public eye. Her changing image had a profound effect on her.

“I had this Hollywood idea that if you’re not cute anymore, if you’re not beautiful, then you are worthless. Because I directly tied that to the demise of my career. Even though I was sort of burned out on it, and Hollywood was burned out on me, it still doesn’t feel good to be rejected.”

Wilson, now a writer, authored her first book “Where Am I Now? True Stories of Girlhood and Accidental Fame,” in 2016.

The book discusses “everything from what she learned about sex on the set of Melrose Place, to discovering in adolescence that she was no longer ‘cute’ enough for Hollywood, these essays chart her journey from accidental fame to relative (but happy) obscurity.”

She also wrote “Good Girls Don’t” a memoir that examines her life as a child actor living up to expectations.

“Being cute just made me miserable,” she writes in her essay for the Guardian. “I had always thought it would be me giving up acting, not the other way around.”

Douglas hated that Bruce was kind and compassionate like his mother. He wanted Bruce to be as hard as him because he saw the singer’s qualities as weaknesses. “He was very dismissive of primarily who I was,” said Bruce.

Later on in life, Bruce came to learn that his father had paranoid schizophrenia, which helped the singer understand some of Douglas’ behavior. He understood why his father mostly brooded, was silent, and would sit alone in a dark kitchen; he was a lost man.

The 73-year-old, who finally understood his dad, also found purpose in his two sons, a daughter, and a wife. Bruce worked hard to let go of the anger and hurt he had for Douglas. These were aspects of himself that he called “the worst of my destructive behavior.”

Bruce had lived a life scared of having his own family because his dad once sent him a message that said a woman and a family weaken a man. Luckily, the singer overcame the fears brought by these words and promised himself not to lose his kids the way his dad lost him.

The singer’s inner peace also came from a memorable visit from his father. Douglas visited Bruce when he and his wife, Patti Scialfa, were a few days from welcoming their first child.

It was during that visit that Douglas admitted to Bruce that he was never a good father to him. Bruce described this moment as the greatest in his life because it released him from his dad’s sins and mistakes and gave him a chance to be his own person.

The father of three, who said his dad was his hero and his greatest foe, went on raise his kids with love and take care of his family, which he truly treasures.

This week has proved to be an eventful time for the British royal family. Yesterday, a media outlet reported that King Charles III is set to confer the role of Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps to his eldest son, Prince William. The announcement was made via Buckingham Palace.

According to reports, the official date for the role transfer is set for May 13 and will take place at the Army Aviation Centre in Middle Wallop.

“In August 2023, following His Majesty’s Accession, the King was pleased to announce military appointments including that the Prince of Wales would become Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps. The role was previously held by His Majesty the King, as Prince of Wales, for 31 years,” discloses the Palace’s message.

News of the King bestowing the title of Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps to Prince William comes amid the Duke of Sussex’s recent trip to the U.K., which has raised eyebrows in public spheres.

Aside from previously holding the title, Prince Harry worked in the Armed Forces for ten years, serving two Afghanistan duty tours with the British Army before ending his operational duties in 2015. In addition to Prince Harry, other members of the royal family “have official relationships with many units of the Forces.”

“This is one of the most public rifts in the world. If it was handled in private without so much press speculation, it would have a better chance of being resolved,” asserted royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams while speaking about Prince Harry and King Charles III.

“In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not The Duke will meet with his father while in the U.K. this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program,” announced a spokesperson for Prince Harry.

The statement went on to explain, “The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.” According to a media outlet, King Charles III has a busy schedule because he recently returned to his public royal duties.

Like his father, Prince Harry is also booked and busy. His time in the UK has been spent on the Invictus Games’ anniversary which kicked off with a panel yesterday. Today, St. Paul’s Cathedral will host a service where Prince Harry is expected to give a reading.

This prestigious appointment places her among an elite group recognized for their significant contributions across various fields, including the arts, sciences, and public service.

The Order of the Companions of Honour was established by King George V in 1917. It is an exclusive society limited to 65 members at any given time. However, additional honorary members from outside the Commonwealth are allowed.

Notable figures among its ranks include Sir Elton John, Sir David Attenborough, Anna Wintour, Dame Maggie Smith, and Dame Judi Dench.

Should the Chiefs win, there will be an afterparty; but Hunt refused to elaborate on whether it would involve Swift, who will then fly to Australia to continue the Eras Tour in Melbourne and Sydney.

Nevertheless, she highly appreciates the multi-platinum singer’s impact on the NFL as a whole:

“I’ve loved watching women and girls fall in love with football. I’ve grown up loving the sport my entire life, and Taylor has had such a huge impact with her presence at Chiefs games. It’s so fun to have her now as a part of Chiefs Kingdom.”

“But also just to see the young girls in the stands with their signs because they know that [Swift] is now loving the game, so they’re loving it, too. Super Bowl LVIII will mark the 13th NFL game Swift has attended. The Chiefs are currently 9-3 with her in the stands.

Catherine Zeta-Jones’ daughter is growing up to resemble her famous mother.

It can’t be easy growing up in the intense spotlight that comes with having two well-known Hollywood actors for parents.

To put it mildly, the lives of Dylan Michael and Carys Zeta Douglas, the children of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, have been fascinating. Sure, you’ll probably never need anything, and there are far worse places to be born into, but their lives have been quite exciting.

The media has been fascinated by Dylan and Carys’ development, with many people speculating on whether or not they would follow in the footsteps of their famous parents and become famous.

At least for Carys, it appears that we have found a solution.

Zeta-Jones has stated openly that she would like her children to follow in her footsteps or at least try.

“When they’re on stage, you want to look at them,” the 49-year-old told us in an interview. They’re also interested in the craft. My son wishes to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in the theater. My daughter wanted to be a pediatrician until she was five when she decided acting was more fun.”

Many people are interested in seeing how both children grow because they want to follow in their parent’s footsteps. Consider the recent buzz surrounding Carys, who has attracted attention for the apparent reason that she is becoming more and more like her mother with each passing day.

The child made her runway debut the previous season at New York Fashion Week, and the event received much media attention.

She has kept a low profile since then, which is understandable given that she is only 15 years old. Still, this week, after accompanying her mother to another fashion event, the radio silence was broken.

Carys and Catherine stole the show at the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda women’s couture event held at the New York Metropolitan Opera House. Mother and daughter arrived in matching outfits and posed for several photos that attest to their resemblance.

Carys is unquestionably maturing into a stunning woman in the mold of her mother. She also appears to have a pleasant demeanor to match!

Jeff Bridges fell in love with a young waitress and took her property surfing on their first date.

There’s a reason Jeff Bridges is regarded as one of Hollywood’s most beloved and respected actors.

He has not only kept his relevance in a competitive, ever-changing industry, but he has also kept his principles intact.

If you’re a Bridges fan, you’re probably well aware of his recent battle with cancer, from which he thankfully survived, but there’s a lot more to his tale that you may not be aware of.

Bridges’ love story seemed to have been plucked from a Hollywood script. And it all started with a series of unplanned events that occurred many years ago while he was filming a movie in Paradise Valley, Montana.

According to stories, Jeff and his wife of many years, Susan Geston, met while she was working as a waitress. He noticed something special about her right away.

The actor was filming “Rancho Deluxe” when he first spotted Susan. (1975). Geston worked as a server in Chico Hot Springs when the film crew shot a scene there.

Bridges recounted in his subsequent book, “The Dude and the Zen Master,” that he could not turn away. Instead, he tried sneaking glances here and there until, one day, after work, he mustered the courage to ask Geston out on a date.

But Geston declined his invitation. Even after he returned twice, she continued to refuse Bridges’ requests.

Bridges did not receive the answer he had hoped for, but Geston nonetheless stated, “It’s a small town; maybe we’ll run into each other.”

A second meeting between the two was scheduled. They met in a dance club one day while they weren’t at work; that’s when Jeff recognized he was in love, according to Jeff.

He asked Geston out on another date, and this time she said yes. The only problem was that the intended date clashed with Jeff’s meeting with a real estate agent.

Geston accepted his invitation, and the two—who weren’t technically dating—began property-surfing right away.

Jeff recalls a small voice whispering in his ear while they visited a ranch by a river, “You are now looking at a house with your future wife.”

Two years later, Susan and Jeff married. They’ve been married for over 45 years and have three adult children.

“As people, we are quite different, and we celebrate that rather than letting it drive us apart,” Jeff explained.

“I like her intelligence, and I’m sure the girls do too. I’ve been extremely fortunate.”

Susan’s love and support were invaluable during Jeff’s most recent cancer battle.

Jeff was diagnosed with lymphoma in the year 2020. Fortunately, he had chemotherapy and responded well to it. In 2021, the actor declared himself to be well and in remission.

I don’t know about you, but I’m a huge Jeff Bridges fan, and reading about his love story inspires me.
