In the late 1970s, Loni Anderson was a familiar face on American television. She portrayed receptionist Jennifer Marlowe on the CBS comedy WKRP in Cincinnati.

Loni Anderson rose to fame playing the seductive, curvy Jennifer on CBS’ WKRP in Cincinnati.

Loni Anderson won three Grammys for the program, which aired from 1978 to 1982 and followed the ups and downs of the crew of a struggling fictional radio station in Ohio.

“I think women loved the fact I was sexy and smart,” she said. “I know it sounds crazy to people today but in 1978, when we came on, not many women were doing both in comedy.”

The upper middle class actress from Minnesota was born there and showed an early interest in acting. But that wasn’t the only early development she experienced.

She was 10 years old, a young girl with an exquisite face, she was referred to as “the most beautiful girl in the world.” Now, that’s how she appears.

Some women dream about competing in beauty pageants and winning the top prize. She had significant success even though she was not in a title race.

The 67-year-old country singer vowed never to let her now 32-year-old son win at cards when he was growing up for fear he would become a “spoiled brat”. Reba, who shares Shelby with her ex-husband Narvel Blackstock, was keen to implement the same strict life lessons she learned during her own childhood home in Chockie, Oklahoma.

It seems Reba’s words of wisdom for Shelby worked as the three-time Grammy Award-winner is often told her son is surprisingly humble.

Martha Stewart nearly broke the internet when she became the oldest model to ever appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s annual Swimsuit edition – she turns 82 years old on August 3rd. In doing so, she surpassed Maye Musk – mother of Elon Musk – who appeared on the cover last year at the age of 74.

In the days since the cover was released, Stewart has received a lot of support from fans and friends as they celebrate her recent achievement – she might be 82 years old, but she looks 30+ years younger. Of course, her stunning appearance was also met with quite a bit of hate and criticism from internet trol

Stewart opened up about those ‘naysayers’ in a recent interview with Variety, which was published on May 16 – the day after her Swimsuit cover was released. She addressed the rumors that she underwent plastic surgery and clapped back at those suggesting her photos were retouched and/or airbrushed.

There is a song by country music icon Garth Brooks. In it, he sings about how, at a football game, he and his wife ran into his “old high school flame.” Years earlier when he was in high school he had prayed so hard that God “would make her mine.”

As we listen to the song we’re supposed to make the connection. If God had granted that request back in high school he wouldn’t have met his wife. He goes on to sing, “Some of God’s greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.”

I think that’s a helpful perspective to think about! What if God simply had a bigger picture in mind than we do? What if he was more wise than we were? What if he knew what was best for us better than we did?

Well, he does!

Emiliana Rodriguez recalls watching friends play soccer late at night as a child. One of the players passed away while the game was still going on.

ince Rodrguez, a native of Bolivia, didn’t know what had happened, she started to fear the night, and the silent killer known as Chagas, a “monster” she had been told, only emerged at night.

Rodrguez’s acquaintance was one of the 12,000 people who perish each year from Chagas, a distinct kind of monster known as a “silent and silenced disease” spread by nocturnal insects and affecting up to 8 million people annually.

Emiliana Rodrguez, 42, still has Chagas disease, which she describes to as a “monster,” despite moving from Bolivia to Barcelona 27 years ago.

“The terror frequently struck at night. I occasionally didn’t sleep,” she admitted. “I was worried that I would fall asleep and not awaken.”

Eight years ago, when Rodriguez was expecting her first child, she discovered she was a Chagas disease carrier.

Teenager Idalia from Mexico contracted Chagas disease while donating blood in her community close to Veracruz. Chagas is a disease spread by triatomine bugs, sometimes known as kissing or vampire bugs, which feed on human blood.

According to Hernández in an interview with the Guardian, “I had never heard of Chagas, so I started to research it on the internet.” “When I read that it was a silent murderer, I was horrified. I was clueless as to what to do or where to go.

She is not alone in this; many people are unaware that these bothersome insects might spread disease.
