Anderson Cooper and his former partner, Benjamin Maisani, are collaboratively raising two children who reside with the journalist. Cooper, along with his kids, resides in a home converted from a fire station.

On February 10, 2022, Anderson Cooper revealed the birth of his second child during the “Anderson Cooper 360” show. The CNN anchor shares this child with his longtime ex-partner and close friend, Benjamin Maisani.

The pair also parents their first son, born two years prior. Benjamin, a businessman who opened the “Eastern Bloc” bar, has cultivated relationships with celebrities at his establishment.

While it remains unclear if Anderson frequented the bar, his friend Andy Cohen was reportedly a regular customer. Benjamin and Anderson, who were together for an extended period, welcomed their second child in 2022. When introducing his new son, Anderson named him Sebastian Luke Maisani-Cooper and shared:

“This is Sebastian Luke Maisani-Cooper. He was 6.8 pounds at birth, and he’s healthy and happy, even his occasional hiccups are to me adorable. He mostly just sleeps, and eats and poops, but he already seems like a wise and thoughtful little champ.”

The co-parent expressed gratitude to the healthcare professionals and the surrogate who assisted in bringing the child into the world. Anderson also acknowledged the surrogate’s family for their sacrifices and the love bestowed upon Sebastian during the past year. This wasn’t the first time Anderson announced his children’s births on air.

Upon the arrival of his first son, Wyatt Morgan Cooper, Anderson shared the news on CNN. During an interview on “Live with Kelly and Ryan” on February 25, 2022, Anderson updated viewers on Wyatt’s relationship with Sebastian, stating:

“They seem to be getting along really well. I mean, ‘Getting along well’ — Sebastian sleeps. He can’t say Sebastian yet, he calls him Luke. So every morning he wants to go say ‘Good morning, Luke.’”

After Sebastian’s birth, Anderson took a three-week paternity leave to spend time with his newborn son. Before the break, he spoke with Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa, expressing his enjoyment of bonding with his boys:

“It’s great to be able to come home and decompress.”

The proud father disclosed his nightly routine of feeding Wyatt and putting him to sleep on his chest, describing it as an incomparable joy. The mornings involve a routine visit to the diner, where Wyatt and Sebastian enjoy swimming. Anderson takes pleasure in preparing his sons for their afternoon nap by reading to them until they peacefully fall asleep in his arms.

Despite being a busy news anchor, Anderson ensures quality time with his children. He revealed that Wyatt and Sebastian engage well with each other, even playing with some of their father’s old toys. Anderson expressed his amazement at witnessing the incredible relationship between his sons.

Benjamin, a property and nightclub owner, embraced co-parenting responsibilities with Anderson upon Wyatt’s birth. Anderson emphasized that they would co-parent even though they were no longer a couple, stating, “We’re a family.”

In an interview, Anderson described their co-parenting dynamic as effortless. Benjamin takes care of the children when Anderson works at night, and together, they start their day just before the boys wake up. According to Anderson, Benjamin communicates with their sons in French.

Anderson clarified that they are co-parenting Sebastian, asserting, “We’re co-parents. We’re a family.” Benjamin was in the process of legally adopting their first child, who affectionately calls him “papa.”

During a September 2023 interview, the 56-year-old renowned broadcaster expressed his joy at fatherhood, declaring it the best time in his life.

Anderson’s Relationship & Co-parenting with Benjamin Maisani Anderson and Benjamin commenced their relationship in 2009, went public in 2015, and announced their separation in 2018. Despite the breakup, Anderson emphasized their strong bond, stating:

“Maisani is going to be a co-parent to Wyatt even though we’re not together anymore. He’s my family, and I want him to be Wyatt’s family as well.”

In September 2021, Anderson discussed their unique co-parenting arrangement, acknowledging its unconventional nature. He acknowledged that it might be unusual but highlighted its success, noting:

“It’s probably an unusual setup, but I knew he would be a great dad, and he is. We’re exes, but we’re family to each other, and we love each other as family and as co-parents.”

While Anderson frequently shares updates on his older son, Benjamin is less active on social media. However, he once remarked that Anderson’s perspective on parenting changed when Wyatt was born, and Anderson elaborated on their co-parenting dynamics, asserting:

“I’ve always believed that if you’ve been with somebody and that ends, in terms of an intimate relationship, if you love somebody, there’s no reason why that love shouldn’t continue.”

In a February 2021 interview on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Anderson disclosed that he and Benjamin initially had different views on starting a family. Anderson explained:

“It’s interesting because he wasn’t really sure he wanted to have a kid — which is one of the reasons we probably broke up — but then he came around to the idea. Now he is such a great parent.”

Inside Anderson’s Firehouse, Where He Lives with His Kids On June 9, 2020, Anderson provided People with a tour of his home converted from a fire station. The tour showcased Wyatt’s nursery, predominantly themed in blue throughout the space.

The nursery was a work in progress, with some photos yet to be hung. A painting by Anderson’s late mother, Gloria Vanderbilt, featuring herself and Anderson’s late father, for whom Wyatt was named, adorned one side of the room.

In September 2010, Anderson acquired the Greenwich Village firehouse in New York, spanning 8,240 square feet, for $4.3 million. The firehouse retained its original features, including brass fire poles, dry hoses, spiral staircases, and murals on the walls depicting the station’s history.

In 2015, David Beckham and Kevin Hart chose Anderson’s residence as the backdrop for an H&M campaign. In September 2018, during a three-day interaction with The Hollywood Reporter, the “60 Minutes” correspondent indirectly showcased his house. Living with his Welsh springer spaniel, Lilly, Anderson had separated from Benjamin earlier that year.

Over the years, Anderson dedicated efforts to restore and enhance the firehouse, even adding an elevator. The second floor boasts a salon adorned with taxidermy, Old Master paintings, and hand-painted signs collected from trips to Cuba and Africa.

The West Village dwelling features a kitchen island, and the living room showcases a side table adorned with a Victorian calendar discovered in his mother’s bedroom. The calendar bears the date July 22, 1988, marking the day Anderson’s brother, Carter Cooper, tragically died by suicide at the age of 23 in their mother’s apartment.

Following Carter’s death, Gloria relocated multiple times, preserving the calendar. Anderson chose not to part with everything after his mother’s passing and the subsequent disposal of her apartment.

Personal artifacts, including his great-great-grandfather’s Civil War commissioning notice, are displayed in the home. A photograph by his late friend, Tim Hetherington, captures a younger Anderson in Afghanistan.

One distinctive item in the residence is an 18th-century Italian marble Memento Mori. Renovated by architect Cary Tamarkin, the firehouse, constructed in 1906, preserves the interiors of the 20th-century Beaux-Arts building.

In 2015, Anderson’s home served as the setting for an H&M campaign featuring David Beckham and Kevin Hart. The advertisement provided fans a glimpse into Anderson’s exquisite residence, showcasing the living room, gym, roof terrace, and one of the bedrooms.

In 2019, Anderson lost his mother at the age of 95. Long before her passing, he had experienced the loss of his brother, a decade after their father’s death from a heart attack in 1978. After avoiding the grieving process for many years, Anderson confronted it on his podcast, “All There Is With Anderson Cooper,” where he interviewed actress Molly Shannon, bringing solace and a sense of shared experience.

Maureen McCormick is most famous for her portrayal of Marcia Brady in the beloved television series “The Brady Bunch.” She was just 13 years old when the show premiered.

The iconic American sitcom aired for five seasons from 1969 to 1974. McCormick was 18 years old when the final season concluded.

Years later, the former child star returned to the role of Marcia in the spin-off series “The Brady Brides,” which followed the TV reunion movie “The Brady Girls Get Married.”

McCormick reunited with her co-star Eve Plumb, who played Jan Brady in the original show.

Recently, McCormick celebrated her 67th birthday on August 5, 2023. To mark the occasion, she allowed her disabled brother to blow out a candle on her birthday cake.

She shared a heartwarming video on Instagram, showing her brother struggling to blow out the candle. She asked if they could do it together, and he agreed. They were applauded afterward.

In the caption, the Los Angeles native expressed her gratitude for the birthday wishes and described it as a special night. One of her followers commented, “The sweetest video ever. HBD.”

McCormick also shared another touching post on July 10, 2023, featuring her and her brother enjoying ice cream on a sunny day.

McCormick became emotional when discussing her brother, Dennis, who was born with an intellectual disability, during her appearance on the British reality series “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!” in February 2015.

She tearfully revealed her desire to advocate for people with disabilities through her participation in the show. McCormick disclosed that when Dennis was born, their parents were advised to place him in a facility, but they refused.

She developed a passion for helping individuals like her brother while growing up. During her time on the show, she competed on behalf of the non-profit organization Achieve Australia, which supports people with disabilities.

The veteran actress explained that the organization assists individuals like Dennis in integrating into society and participating in community activities.

Tragically, their mother passed away from cancer, and Dennis ended up in a care facility for people with mental disabilities.

Despite the challenges her family faced, McCormick found love and stability in her marriage to actor Michael Cummings, whom she met at a concert in 1985.

The couple’s whirlwind romance led to marriage, and they have remained together ever since. McCormick attributed the longevity of their marriage to their shared faith and love for each other.

They welcomed a daughter named Natalie in May 1989. Despite having a famous mother, Natalie leads a private life and reportedly pursues a career in business, owning her own yoga business.

While Natalie prefers to keep a low profile, McCormick often shares glimpses of her family life on social media, showcasing her love for her husband and daughter.

Andie MacDowell, a beloved actor who has been in the spotlight since the 1980s, has become an advocate for “gray pride” as she gracefully embraces her natural gray hair. At 65 years old, she radiates confidence and beauty.

Andie MacDowell began her career as a model, working with high-fashion brands like Armani, Yves St Laurent, and Calvin Klein. Her acting career took off with her screen debut in “Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes” in 1984. Despite her outstanding performance, her voice was dubbed in the film due to her pronounced southern drawl. She later gained recognition with roles in “St. Elmo’s Fire” and Steven Soderbergh’s “Sex, Lies & Videotape,” which earned her a Golden Globe nomination.

However, it was her starring role alongside Bill Murray in “Groundhog Day” that propelled her to commercial success, and she further solidified her fame with “Four Weddings and a Funeral” alongside Hugh Grant.

Known for her method acting, MacDowell has taken on various roles in films such as “Harrison’s Flowers” and the family TV series “Cedar Cove.” She was also selected to promote L’Oréal hair products in TV commercials, emphasizing her beautiful brown locks.

Recently, Andie MacDowell was seen in Cannes, where she proudly displayed her makeup-free face framed by her now gray-silver hair, tied into a low bun. She spoke about embracing her gray hair during the COVID-19 quarantine, sharing how her children encouraged her, saying she looked “badass” with her gray hair.

Despite her managers advising her not to go gray, MacDowell decided that the time was right. She stated, “I’m going to be more powerful if I embrace where I am right now. It’s time… If I don’t do it now, I won’t have the chance to be salt and pepper. I always wanted to be salt and pepper.”

In 2022, MacDowell graced the cover of Style magazine, flaunting her gray hair and natural look. She emphasized that as people age, they deserve dignity and pride, and there’s no expiration date on beauty.

Andie MacDowell’s acting career is still going strong. In 2021, she starred in the Netflix drama series “Maid,” alongside her daughter Margaret Qualley. They shared a unique experience as mother and daughter on set, with Margaret expressing how special it was to have her mom play her mom in the series.

Currently, MacDowell is filming “Goodrich,” in which she stars alongside Mila Kunis, Kevin Pollak, and Michael Keaton, with whom she previously shared the screen in “Multiplicity.”

Andie MacDowell is not only embracing her natural beauty but also inspiring others to do the same. Her journey into “gray pride” is a testament to self-acceptance and confidence at any age.

Jennifer Lopez admits she gets jealous of women who flirt with Ben Affleck, and she sent a warning to ladies who try to get his attention.

Jealous Jennifer Lopez Warns Women Who Flirt With Ben Affleck Don t Play With Me 297

During an appearance on Today With Hoda & Jenna on Thursday, February 15, the Marry Me star, 54, played a game called “This Is Me… Now or Then?” inspired by her new album, This Is Me… Now. Host Hoda Kotb asked her questions and the ladies determined if it described them now or then.

When Kotb asked if she “gets jealous if someone hits on your significant other,” Lopez frowned and immediately held up the paddle with the word “NOW” written on it.

She made it clear she was serious about protecting Affleck, 51, and said, “Don’t play with me. Do not play with me.”

Then Kotb followed up and asked, “What would you do if someone started flirting with Ben?”

“First of all, I’m a lover, not a fighter, but I will let them know in a very elegant and lady-like way to step all the way off,” Lopez said.

Lopez and Affleck married in July 2022, 18 years after they canceled their first planned wedding in 2004. After meeting while filming Gigli in 2001, they started dating and announced their engagement in November 2022. Their wedding was planned for September 14, 2003, however the two stars called it off and ultimately ended their engagement in January 2004.

They both moved on with other people. Affleck was married to Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018, and they share three kids, Violet, Seraphina and Samuel. Lopez, for her part, and Marc Anthony wed in 2004, welcoming twins Emme and Max in 2008. The pair divorced in 2014.

Affleck previously talked about why his relationship with Lopez didn’t work the first time.

“I think Jen and I made a mistake in that we fell in love, we were excited and maybe too accessible,” Affleck said during an interview on the British TV series Live in 2008. “I don’t think either of us anticipated the degree to which it would take on a world of its own.”

In 2018, Lopez explained that when she moved on from Affleck in 2004, her career, as well as her personal life, was in shambles.

“I lost my sense of self, questioned if I belonged in this business, thought maybe I did suck at everything, And my relationship [with Ben] self-destructed in front of the entire world,” she told Vanity Fair in 2018. “It was a two-year thing for me until I picked myself up again.”

Lopez reunited with Affleck after her engagement to Alex Rodriguez ended in April 2021. The former couple got engaged again in April 2022 and married in July 2022.

During a February appearance on Australia’s “Kyle and Jackie O Radio Show,” Lopez said that it wasn’t until she felt “good on [her] own” that the timing was right for her and Affleck.

“That’s when the universe kind of opened up to me and was like, ‘OK, now you’re ready,’” she explained. “I couldn’t believe it and I don’t think he could either. It’s not something we ever planned. We really had moved on with our lives but when we reconnected, it was almost instant and we just knew.”

Lopez is releasing her new album This is Me… Now on Friday, along with an Amazon Prime narrative musical film titled This Is Me…Now: A Love Story. Her husband cowrote the script and also stars with her in the film.

She gushed about how Affleck inspired her to complete the album and the film during a February appearance on Today.

“He’s always supportive of whatever I’m doing. And he knows that I’m a creative person and I’m an artist, and I’m going to express myself,” she said. “I don’t think anybody really understood what I was trying to do [with the project] and that made it hard. … But he was always kind of like, ‘You can do this. Whatever you want to do. I believe in you, so you go and do your thing.’”

The 53-year-old On The Floor singer wore an oversize fur coat and looked a million miles from her ‘Jenny From The Block’ ‘90s persona.

J.Lo flaunted her flawless complexion going makeup free, styled her long brunette locks up in a messy bun, and wore loose-fitting tan pants with cream shoes.

Before leaving, Jennifer sat alone by the bay near her Hampton home for 2 hours, taking selfies and drinking Coffee.

The Argo director wore a navy sweatshirt under a black peacoat with grey jeans and Nike sneakers.

The 50-year-old Oscar winner styled his brown hair short and spiky, donned well-groomed facial hair, and carried a grey backpack.

The couple appeared to be having a family trip, as they were seen with Ben’s son Samuel.

He wore red sweats with a blue hoodie and matching Under Armour trainers as the trio walked out to the tarmac.

The couple began dating again in April of 2021 before getting engaged in April of last year.

It was the lovebirds’ second try at romance after they dated from 2002 to 2004, which led to a failed engagement.

Lopez recently gushed about becoming a stepmother to his three children while speaking with Extra at the premiere of her romantic comedy Shotgun Wedding.

The new Mrs. Affleck sounded over the moon about combining her family with Ben’s.

When Heath Ledger breathed his last, his daughter was devastated as she could not find him. But his presence was not the only thing she would miss out on. The actor had not included her in his will. Worried about her welfare, three of Ledger’s costars gave up their salaries for her.

Heath Ledger was well recognized for playing The Joker, a psychopathic criminal mastermind with a warped sense of humor, in the superhero film “The Dark Knight.”

In addition, the actor also played many other roles, including in “Lords of Dogtown” and “I’m Not There.” In 2004, during the filming of “Brokeback Mountain,” the actor met and fell in love with Michelle Williams. A year later, they welcomed their baby girl, Matilda Rose Ledger.

Unfortunately, in 2007, the pair broke up, but Ledger’s love for his daughter remained as strong as ever. Director Terry Gilliam would say that the actor would put his daughter in his backpack, get in the tube and go to his house to talk about a movie they were working on.

Sadly, in 2008, when Matilda was only two, Ledger passed on accidentally at his New York Apartment. Little Matilda could not understand her father’s sudden absence and constantly bombarded her mother with questions about him that Michelle did not know how to answer. She would always ask:

“Where’s my daddy?”

Heath’s Costars Financially Rescue His Daughter
Right before he met his tragic death, Ledger was in the middle of filming “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.” The film is about a traveling theatre troupe whose leader, having made a bet with the Devil, presents his audiences with a choice between self-fulfilling enlightenment or gratifying ignorance.

Upon his death, the director, Terry Gilliam, did not know whether to scrap the film or replace Ledger. With a little convincing from his daughter, he settled on the latter. He chose Hollywood A-listers Jude Law, Johnny Depp, and Colin Farrell to replace Ledger in the film and play the remainder of the parts. Gilliam said:

“Nobody asked how much they would be paid or if the part was right for them. They were all Heath’s friends, and they wanted to make sure the film was finished in his memory.”

Other A-list celebrities, such as Tom Cruise, offered to take over Ledger’s part, but Gilliam turned them down because they did not know Ledger well.

While Gilliam worried whether replacing Ledger with three actors made financial sense, the three were concerned about something else — Ledger’s daughter.

In the act of extraordinary generosity, the three actors worked for nominal pay and took none of the payment to themselves, instead donating all their salary to Matilda. It would turn out that Ledger had not included his two-year-old daughter in his will.

Showdown For Heath’s Millions
The award-winning actor had written a will long before his daughter was born, leaving his estate, estimated at $118,000, to his parents and three sisters. He never updated the will after his daughter was born.

Under normal circumstances, that would mean his daughter was not eligible to inherit anything from her father. However, everything took a drastic turn a year after the actor’s death.

Ledger’s father, Kim Ledger, told The Sunday Times that his family would not claim any part of Ledger’s wealth and would instead give it all to the actor’s daughter. He said as Fox News reports:

“There is no claim. Our family has gifted everything to Matilda.”

The decision raised a dispute between Kim and his brothers, with two claiming that Ledger’s father was not in a position to be the executor of the actor’s estate as he had mismanaged their grandfather’s estate years back.

However, Robert John Collins, an Australian executor of Ledger’s will, came to Kim’s rescue, saying the accusations against him by his brothers were rubbish. The claims led to quarrels between the brothers, who have since remained estranged.

Matilda was only two when her dad passed on, but it’s been 15 years, and she is now all grown. It is easy to see how the 17-year-old resembles her dad from rare photos of her available online. The resemblances are notable to her family members, including her grandfather Kim who said:

“She’s got an enormous number of his mannerisms. She’s very inquisitive. She’s got his energy cause Heath never slept from when he was two, and Matilda’s like that.”

Kim doted on his granddaughter, saying she was a ball of energy and radiated an aura just as Ledger had. In addition to taking after her dad, Matilda inherited traits from her mom, who works tirelessly to keep Ledger’s memories alive in his daughter.

What remains constant about the little girl is her endless questions in a bid to discover and get to know the person that her dad was while he lived.

Ledger’s family commends Michelle on the beautiful job she has done raising Matilda on her own since her father’s demise, and as the actor’s sister Kate Ledger would tell People:

“I think that she provides such a wonderful environment for Matilda to grow up in, especially in the sort of industry that she’s in.”

Kate referred to Michelle as grounded and noted how much Matilda resembled her late brother. She shared that everything Matilda does reminds her of her brother.

Simple tasks performed automatically by Matilda were similar to how Ledger would have done them, including things as simple as picking up a pencil and getting on the skateboard.

She also strives to keep her brother’s memories alive inside his daughter and tells People: “I tell her about her daddy every time we see each other. I tell her little stories of him growing up and how he used to chase me with the cricket bat.”

Despite having star parents, Matilda keeps quite a low profile, and any photos available of her are with her mother taken in different public places.

Sissy Fisk is 73 years old and has been married to her husband for 50 years. The couple is enjoying their quiet farm life and still has no regrets about leaving their city life for a more normal life.

Sissy Spacek is a renowned singer and actress with several awards to her name, but despite her success in Hollywood, she and her husband of 50 years, Jack Fisk, have had one the longest and strongest marriages.

The couple recently renovated their barn into a painting and recording studio. Spacek gushed over her husband and said he was an incredible artist from whom she had learned so much from.

The actress also credits her decision to move to a farm and the connection she shares with her husband for her massive success.

She said they both deeply understand each other’s interests and motivations, so they allow one another to pursue what they love.

Spacek could not be more grateful to live in her 70th year and still have such a lively relationship, even though it is shocking how fast time has gone by.

The actress also loves to let her artistic side flourish in her garden; she revealed that she had been adding peonies and woodbox trees to it and proudly said that her garden was beautiful because of her hard work.

Spacek truly loves her quiet life on the farm; one of her favorite things is sitting on her porch with her battery-operated fan and gazing at her surroundings.

While she enjoys her scenic home, Spacek also loves her husband’s sense of humor so much that “it’s so good it’s bad,” said the singer.

However, now that the actress will turn 73 on Christmas day, she was asked how her relationship with her daughters has changed, and she expressed that their roles are reversed, and they take care of her now.

To name a few instances where her children have helped, the actress said whenever they are at the airport, they will be the ones that lead the way to the gates.

But generally, her children appreciate the life they were given growing up and reciprocate that by taking care of her. Spacek’s said her eldest, Schulyer took after her and had a great singing voice; her youngest is a visual artist like her father.

Moving from City to Farm Was The Best Decision for Their Family
At the peak of their fame, Spacek and her husband decided to abandon their life in the city and sold their home in Topanga Cayonon for rural Virginia.

The couple bought a farm in Virginia to give themselves a break from Hollywood and lead a more quiet life. The decision was not only for their sanity, but Spacek wanted to give her daughters a normal life.

It became evident to the actress that it was easy to get consumed by a “movie star life,” so she wanted her children and her husband to know a different and more peaceful life.

Spacek said she needed to live a normal life and be around “normal people,” and she does just that. Despite her fame, the actress buys her own groceries and assists in training the horses she and Fisk raise.

Moving to the farm did a lot of good for her children and her marriage. Her kids got to know what it feels like to play outside and “dirt between their toes” and have a rooted upbringing, and she got to spend more time with Fisk.

Additionally, it was important to the mother of two to give her children a childhood that would allow them to make mistakes without the pressure of the media.

The long-time couple met in 1972 when filming “Badlands,” she was starring in the film, and Fisk was building the set. The actress said she and her husband did not fully believe in the idea of marriage; in fact, after they tied the knot, they put $30 in their bank account because that was how much it cost to get a divorce.

But that $30 never came to use because Spacek and Fisk only got stronger, and now the two do not even imagine without each other. “Now I think it would take something dramatic like death to end it,” said the actress.

In the wake of comedian Robin Williams’ death by suicide in August 2014, an item about Williams’ supposedly requiring in his work contracts that “the company hiring him also had to hire a certain number of homeless people and put them to work” quickly spread far and wide online:

Years ago I learned a very cool thing about Robin Williams, and I couldn’t watch a movie of his afterward without thinking of it. I never actually booked Robin Williams for an event, but I came close enough that his office sent over his rider.

For those outside of the entertainment industry, a rider lists out an artist’s specific personal and technical needs for hosting them for an event- anything from bottled water and their green room to sound and lighting requirements. You can learn a lot about a person from their rider. This is where rocks bands list their requirement for green M&Ms (which is actually a surprisingly smart thing to do).

This is also where a famous environmentalist requires a large gas-guzzling private jet to fly to the event city, but then requires an electric or hybrid car to take said environmentalist to the event venue when in view of the public.

When I got Robin Williams’ rider, I was very surprised by what I found. He actually had a requirement that for every single event or film he did, the company hiring him also had to hire a certain number of homeless people and put them to work.

I never watched a Robin Williams movie the same way after that. I’m sure that on his own time and with his own money, he was working with these people in need, but he’d also decided to use his clout as an entertainer to make sure that production companies and event planners also learned the value of giving people a chance to work their way back.

I wonder how many production companies continued the practice into their next non-Robin Williams project, as well as how many people got a chance at a job and the pride of earning an income, even temporarily, from his actions.

He was a great multiplier of his impact. Let’s hope that impact lives on without him. Thanks, Robin Williams — not just for laughs, but also for a cool example.

This account appears to have originated with an article posted by Brian Lord (“A Little Known Robin Williams Story”) on 12 August 2014, recounting the author’s experience in attempting to hire Williams for an event:

I never actually booked Robin Williams for an event, but I came close enough that his office sent over his rider.

When I got Robin Williams’ rider, I was very surprised by what I found. He actually had a requirement that for every single event or film he did, the company hiring him also had to hire a certain number of homeless people and put them to work.

That bit of information took off virally when it was quoted in a Facebook post made on 25 August by a user named “Perry Marshall,” whom many readers confused with Penny Marshall, an actress/comedienne who was friends with Robin Williams throughout his life.

As of now this story remains unverified: We’ve seen no mention or confirmation of it by anyone who ever worked with Robin Williams, nor has anyone to our knowledge produced a copy of a Robin Williams contract bearing the clause in question. The Smoking Gun document leak site long ago posted what may have been a backstage rider from a Robin Williams’ appearance in 2002, but it included no reference in its text to a requirement for employing the homeless.
