Born in 2010, little Ben was the “new beginning” Travolta and late wife Kelly Preston needed after their eldest son Jett died two years year before.

Born November 23, 2010, Benjamin “Ben” is the baby brother to Ella Bleu and the third born child of John Travolta and Kelly Preston, who died at 57 in 2020 after a two-year battle with cancer.

Ben was born less than two years after Jett, the big brother he never met, died while vacationing in the Bahamas with the family. Jett, who was only 16, hit his head on a bathtub after suffering a seizure at the family’s vacation home.

Before Jett’s tragic death, Travolta, now 69, and Preston – both who starred in the 2009 film Old Dogs – were trying to have a third child to no avail.

When the grieving couple learned they had a baby on the way, Preston said they were “completely blown away” by the “miracle.”

“He’s given the house a renewed spirit and purpose,” said the Grease alum, who explained to People in 2010 that he held Preston’s hand during labor while then 10-year-old daughter Ella Bleu waited eagerly outside the room with late actor Kirstie Alley, a close family friend who died in 2022.

“He’s brought us a new beginning, and his presence has brought joy to all the people who have wanted the best for us,” The Pulp Fiction star added.

Mark Wahlberg is not one to hide his faith, in fact, lately he’s been very vocal about his beliefs.

The actor appeared on the Today Show Wednesday, which also happened to be Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. During his segment he spoke with Savannah Guthrie about his choice to not push religion on others, especially his children.

“I don’t want to jam it down anybody’s throat, but I do not deny my faith. That’s an even bigger sin.”

“You know, it’s not popular in my industry, but I cannot deny my faith.”

The 51-year-old actor wore ashes in the sign of a cross on his forehead while he spoke with Guthrie.

Ashes are worn in the observance of Ash Wednesday, a day of fasting for Catholics.

Wahlberg explained fasting during the Lenten season, and while most people associate it with food you don’t necessarily have to fast from food.

“There are many different elements to fasting,” he said. “I think the important thing to understand is that, first of all, if you have issues with food, there are other things. God knows the things that he wants you to detach from. We all know those things that make us feel guilty, don’t make us feel as good as we should.”

“So (it’s about) being able to detach from those things and focus on good habits as opposed to bad habits.”

As for himself, Wahlberg said he planned on not eating meat and having only one meal on Ash Wednesday, something he’ll continue to do through Good Friday.

He also spoke of the discipline it takes to participate in Lent, and it’s something he believes has helped him throughout his life.

“Once I started getting into movies and transitioned from music, I realized I needed a lot of discipline in my life, and that discipline has afforded me so many other things. I’ve been rewarded for it so much, and I want to share that with people, whether that’s with fasting, working out more, detaching from other things and just spending more time with God, in prayer or in thoughtful reflection.”

Still, he’s careful about pushing his beliefs on others. He mentioned to Guthrie that while he feels it’s important to share this faith with others, “it’s important to respect and honor them [and their beliefs] as well.”

The source added that King Charles is looking to “bring in some fresh blood,” as he believes they’ve “grown into very sensible, lovely women” who could be a great asset for the royal family.

Prince William has been back on royal duty for about a month. Kate Middleton generally would have joined him for many outings, but that won’t happen for a while, considering her recovery phase.

However, even though the Wales family knows how things are, it appears that Kate and her children still don’t appreciate everything William does. One of those things happened days ago, as Prince William visited the Isles of Scilly.

The archipelago is located off the southwestern tip of Cornwall, over which William became the Duke when Charles became king in September 2022. During his two-day tour, he made one stop at St. Mary’s Community Hospital, where he chatted with an administrator, Tracy Smith.

“I asked William about his wife Kate and he said: ‘She’s doing well, thanks.’ And I suggested they might like to come for a visit and bring the children,” Smith recalled the meeting as reported by several news outlets.

However, it appeared that Kate and the children didn’t appreciate his decision to travel to the Isles of Scilly alone.

As per Express, William said the trip had “upset” his wife and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

He said they were “upset I’m here without them” as he praised the glorious weather.

“My family are very upset I’m here without them. The children will kill me if I don’t go home later,” William said.

William’s claim about his family was undoubtedly humorous, but it most likely tells a bigger story. According to former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond, the fact that he was away for two nights shows the public that things are going the right way.

“I’ve no doubt that Catherine’s parents will be staying with her, but even so it must be a step in the right direction. Hopefully Catherine is feeling stronger every day and, with the sun now shining, she’ll be able to enjoy the great outdoors which, for her, has always been restorative,” she told OK!.
